I'm just lost ><

I'm trying to find a very good mmorpg that doesn't require a uber-computer to run.

I don't mind if its free or not. I would prefer not having to buy it in stores if possible(you can always post it here if its really good) I'm lost there is so many mmorpg and most of them doesn't seem all that fun...

Tell me people what are te best mmorpg out there.

Thanks!

There's no such thing as a MMOG that requires an "uber" computer to run...you can easily play everyone of them with a $400. Dell.

MMOG developers cater exclusively to the lowest common denominator.

As long as it's got a 3d video card in it and some ram it will run fine.

And you don't have to have the newest windows or anything.

Most of the mmos run on a few series of the editions back.

Actually yes, there is a free trial of sort. If you can get a paying player to get you into the "Friend" program, you get a 10 day trial.

Actually I can give you the trial key, but I need your email.

if your computer REALLY sucks (i.e. less than 128mb ram and a junk video card) then you may want to consider something like MU Online, kinda fun hack+slash MMO with cool armors but not the greatest graphics.

Lineage 2, if you don't want it to look like shit. I'm sure there are others.

Listen Asmodeeus, seven years ago, Ultima Online didn't even have those pathetic "quests" that you refer to or those "professions" of ninja, samurai, necromancer, and paladin. Nor did it have any of the neon crap, or bug mounts. It didn't even have any "combat moves." You turned on attack and jousted with simplistic swings. It was a better game then. if you can't guess why then just uninstall the thing and move along. - Crabby

That Dell excedes the requirements for Lineage 2...

And the game will look good, as well, playing on a Dell.

Try Dark Age of Camelot. You should be able to run it just fine, maybe even with Cata's enhanced graphics.
There is a trial also, altho' it req. you to put in your CC(Remember to cancel the account before the 14th day have passed, els you will be billed for the game+sub).

What is YOUR taste?  I would suggest EVE-Online, but I know the younger "WoW" crowd will flame me and say the game is complete trash.

So I would suggest just going out and looking for yourself.  There's TONS of MMORPGs right now with "trials".

Everything from D&D, WoW, EVE, AO [Free], City of Villains, Guild Wars will host a free weekend soon...  there's tons of them.

That's a pretty nice rig bro!

It's seems  like there are a lot of us who like having a rig with enough power to lay the smack down...to get the phuckin' job done!

Unfortunetly, MMOG developers don't even give one nanosecond of thought or consideration to us...They truly do cater to the lowest common denominator; I guess they figure everybody else will just go along with it...Wrong!

In another thread, scaramoosh posted a video clip of a next generation game that I want you guys to see...if you haven't already...here.

We could be playing awesome MMOGs just like that!

That sounds great, the only reason why I wasn't really okay with Eve, its because I thought My computer won't be "strong" enough... I guess I'll try it and see!  I'll also keep an eye on the other mmorpgs, just in case I find one that really fits my playstyle!

I recommend Star Sonata. It's a space-shooter mmorpg that doesnt have huge system requirements and is very fun. It's got a free download and free trial so you have nothing to lose. It has many things you can do in the game besides endless killing and its fairly easy to catch on.
