    I think this has always been the case.  My mother and grandmother (both over 50) both play games online.  They play Keno, Bingo, and other stupid simple games.  Many older women do this, but they are aren't playing games that any of us would consider spending much time playing on the net.  No action FPS's, or RPG's, or anything of that sort.

    Guess the husbands can't get any play because the wife is exhausted due to staying up all night playing word games. No wonder divorce rates are so high for the middle aged.

    i only know ONE chick whos "alright" at counter strike, this azn chick named Oreoz, but i havent seen her in a while so i dont even know if she plays anymore, and about the Keno, and Bingo stuff, thats true they play alot of the stupid ass games, but ive known a few older women who play mmorpgs

    What's wrong with women flooding MMORPG's?  What's the matter, are you intimidated by them, are you scared of being smacked down in PvP by a woman?  Would you rather play MMORPG's full of men, some of them playing female characters who you may be hitting on?

    I've always known males to make up the larger part of the gaming world, and probably a good half of the female characters in AC1 aren't really females... teenage females generally tend to spend their time outside of a cave or else on the phone. image Which is more productive? The answer is neither... Where can you find a more pessimistic person than myself? The answer is nowhere. image

    I wouldnt mind an MMRPG filled full of women, them being extremely attractive would also be pretty nice. Attractive, friendly women. Ooo! I can see the MMRPG now, Fantasy Island online!

    While I'm sure there aren't many women in the 40-50 range like myself, I've been playing mmorpg's for quite along time now.  I myself tend to like beta more since I don't let myself get caught up in it and tend to test rather then play for free.  I then move on to another game to test, meeting alot of fantastic people through out these games.  I see more men playing as women though since there aren't as many women playing.  Gaming has always been a guy thing for a long time, weather its WOW,Diablo or simulation games.  I guess I'm an exception to the rule since I've raised 5 boys and had to learn to do things they like.  Namely online gaming, in which I got hooked....Thank You Boys.....for showing me why online gaming can be addictive.  My kids are all grown but tend to be over everyday for us to beta test games together, most companys are impressed that their mom is heavily into mmorpg beta testing and we do it as a family.  This has been really nice since I have my own group lol......but also helps keep a good relationship with them.  I think its hard for women to get into online gaming due to maybe not knowing anyone or it just doesn't keep their attention, I'm not sure but I know I've been happy with it.  There are a few of us women that are an acception to the rule.

    Adreal, good job, you might also get her hooked on beta testing.  I find more enjoyment knowing that I have helped in the making of a game and have had some imput on it.  It would be nice to see more women/moms get involved in these games.

    Hmm... Well, I am a 33 year old mom into MMORPGs, and most of my female EQ friends and guildies were also 30-something moms. The guildleader of one of the guilds I was in was a woman my mother's age. We're out there. You just don't know who we are. ;)

    And my husband gets more than he can handle. image
