hey, just wondering if this was good for a new vid card, i whant to be able to play FFXI at its best, and i was wondering if this would lemme do it. I really whant to play this game with max rez, and max textures, (3200 amd xp) so im just wondering if this would be a good video card  to get, i think its good cuz of the ram, and i like it cuz its bout $300 cheaper than the radeon 9800 or whatever, but i won't be getting this vid card for a while, so im wondering if i should wait for the radion to get cheaper or get this when i get the chance.

Oh my god yes. Let me inform you of what happened to me. I first went to buy final fantasy and I will still using an Rad. 7500 as my main video card. I took the test to see what kind of score I would get and managed to make a 340 before completely shutting down my system. Keep in mind. I am running a AMD 2500XP, gigbyte 768 DDR ram, running at around a 1.8gig. The computer was not the proble my video card was....so I simply just went out and bought a Geforce 5200fx 256ddr.

Surprise, surprise my score went from 340 to over 2.5k.

Oh ps. and I find that I don't run into any slow down including in heavy populated areas with massive amounts of people or during fighting bosses.

 I got a radeon 9200. Kind of an old 128mb card but the performance in most areas is fine and lag has never really interfered with playing the game.

I have a geforce4ti 4200 and it runs this game perfect at the max resolution. I am a little worried about if this elustrias expansion comes out if it will have a huge graphics upgrade. Does anyone have some advice for a new graphics card for $100-150.
