More DNL forum banning, AD strikes again
LOL Allowing for the boards to get as disrespectful to each other as they have, now the mods have banned even more ppl. An entire guild leaves DNL.

To add insult to injury and show their own unprofessionalism and what appears to be their own immaturity by posting little potshots posts themselves throughout the thread, AD and DNL are so ridiculous its hard not to fall out of your chair ROFL.
Paying customers banned from the only place you supposedly can ask questions and get any help. IT seems the only help you get from the AD/DNL forums is how to get banned in 3 easy steps, so easy sometimes it only takes 1 step!

Its interesting they are upping the banning again. I have a noticed a pattern with their banning that they start banning everytime they have a monetary deadline approaching. They serverely upped thier banning and threadlocking right before the SoG sale last year. They did the same before the SoG Pioneer re-sale and again before the release. Now as they approach the end of the free period they are upping the banning again to severe levels. But I think there is more to it this time. Recently a letter was posted here from Farlan to its investors making all kinds of wild claims. They claim the DNL fans have expressed their love for DnL on the official forums, that the DNL fans think the game is improving and how the DnL fans compare the game favorably with WoW. The bans appear to have been a coordinated effort by Farlan to remove any dissent from the forums so they make their new pitch to the investors for more money. They know they will not have anything to show their investors in regards to paid subscriptioons, and probably will have to use their extra special double talk attack to expain away all the refunded accounts, so their only hope is to sell to the investors how much the fans love the game and how much potential this game has for unlimited profit if they can only just survive their current growing pains. Farlan not only uses this word potential to its fans but most likley uses it to its investors as well. I am sure they are also repeating the coordinated flame attack message to their investors just like they are to the fanbase.
The bannings can really tell us a lot. While there a lot of assumptions here the recent banning and cleanising of the forums seem to tell us that Farlan is in a severe money problem and the investors are not happy with giving them anymore funding to keep this game alive. They may be able to squeek by a few more months but these bannings seem to signal that the end is quite near. Don;t expect DnL to die a respectful and quiet death rather I am sure it will go down thrashing and kicking with many more bannings, forum cleansings, lies and accusations of coordinated attacks being made by people to destroy the potantial of their dream.
they stupid yes? banning the guild leader of the biggest guild in game? what they expecting after that? this ban going to cost them alot of money. and not only my guild leaving, other guilds are leaving too giving full support to EE on this decision.
Most likley, their only hope is to get more money from their investors to keep the game afloat. I don't think they care or it matters to them who stays or leaves as there is not enough people left to make any financial difference. Even if these people were not banned they would be leaving soon regardless because of the poor gameplay. Their battle now is not keeping people playing but keeping their investors on board. Does it really matter if they have 50 paid subscribers in August or 150? More likley they deem the banning and cleansing of the forums imperative to backing up their claims that the fans of the game think the game is moving in a forward direction, that the game is fun to play, and that the fans write ridiclous posts like they think DnL is better than WoW. Whether the investors will be duped by this strategy into allowing this game to continue to exist is a better question.
In other words Farlan could care less about their fans or anyone playing the game. Rather they are concerned with keeping the game afloat and doing whatever they have to do to keep their investors believing their lies. If it means losing half of their playerbase to get more money from their investors is there little doubt what choice they will make. if we know anything about Farlan its that they will sell anyone out for an additional dollar.

well that makes sense, maybe they just want to sell the engine, for other games like stargate.
What engine? the terrain engine? It seems to be the property of Pix or his company. The other engines dont seem to work well. I doubt anyone would pay to use it. Im sure you can find a lot of FREE OpenGL or DirectX engines that are better then D&L has.

Think he means the BigWorld Tech which seems to run well. Hell everything seems to run well in DnL as long as it was made by someone else.

In conclusion, if u r in the same IP range, or using university network, or using different computers connected through router in a LAN then tough luck, you can be identified as a known "offender" and banned.

LMAO You got that right. Its really quite obvious that they dont know even some of the simplest things regarding IPs. Granted not everyone does but when you are working in an "online" environment, it would be quite prudent, if not essential, (and if not simply by the basic foundation of internet use information Internet 101) to understand how IPs work. Or how you can simply and very easily manipulate the IP. LMAO

Yeah, but the bigger question is: Why the phvck do we even care. Don't these bickering foolz realize they are argueing about a game called; Slop & Flop ...?
I mean, lets bring this down to reality... nobody cares about this game and certainly nobody cares about a start-up guilds with PR problems. They are obviously new guild leader starting out and trying to make waves... but thats not done verbally it's done with your sword.
