I think WoW has destroyed blizzard. Don't get me wrong I think WoW is awesome, but that's not what were debating today. So, blizzard announced that they are an MMORPG only company now? That means no more RTS's right?....Doesn't that kinna suck?

Also, does it mean they plan on making other MMOs? If so, have there been any announcements? Or, are they just gonna obsess over WoW forever and never make anything else again other than WoW expansions?

    links to statements please. The only thing i remember close to what you'r talking about is when some vivendi executives stated that mmorpg plans are in the works for all blizzard licenses. Blizzard quickly denied this.

    I haven't heard anything about blizzard announceing that they are only an mmorpg company now. I find it farfetched too considering how successful their rts games have been. I could be wrong though.

    Yeah, it was the vivendi announcement thing, but I heard THAT from someone on this forum, he didn't include the part about blizzard denying this.

    Ok then, lets discuss blizzards future in general then, what are they working on? What games do you think they're going to release?

    by destroyed blizzard I mean, they are so obsessed over WoW that it doesn't realy look like they're going to do anything that doesn't involve...well...WoW

    IMO Blizz is going down-hill. The quality standards they are known for are... dissapearing, to say the least. Being lazy, going the easy way with things and so on. They lost so many of their key members they no longer have the capacity to do a Starcraft 2 sequel, because it's really hard to make it better than the original Starcraft. They lost Bllizard North so they have a bad time tring to do a Diablo 3. Maybe I'm opinionated but they have done so many wrong things with WoW lately (some has being fixed tho). The only way I can trust them again if if they make a kick ass Starcraft 2 or Diablo 3. Then I'll know that Blizzard still has it.

    I agree. Though from rummors. And it is just rummors. IS that if they do make an Diablo 3 it'll be a MMORPG. And then thats where I'll say WTF? Diablo had such a good story and you're going to ruin it by making it an MMO? T_T

    You know how long ghost has been in development? I mean thats pretty hopeful to say ghost is going to come out or even still exist by the time BC is released. Obviously none of us are blizzard so we don't know for certin if anything is going to be developed or not. I personally lost all hope that blizzard is actually making ghost.

    I heard ghost was canceled. I'll try and find a link to substantiate that.

    found a link. Apparently its definitely canceled for current gen consoles, but may still have a possibility for release with next-gen.

    Blizzard North was re-absorbed into the main company.  Meanwhile this does not mean that they can' make a Starcraft 2 or a Diablo 3, it just might be a while.  Oh and Starcraft Ghost is dead.....

    MMORPGs are a lot harder to run than RTS games.

    Well i know that Burning Crusade supposed to come out in like 2 months, and its suppose to rule ass. 2 new races, new land, new monsters, new skills, level 70 max...ahh yeh. As for Starcraft Ghost i think its going to be on ps2 as well as pc. But dont know a relase date. As for a diablo 3, unless they make a higher level then 99 then it will be boring still. I mean i cant stand betting the first difficulty and then having the same old boring acts to do later. Plus i know strat to level from 1-40 in like a day or 2 so its not really hard anymore. D3 needs more levels, more acts, and more stuff in general.

    MMORPGs are a lot harder to run than RTS games. 

    I know, that's why I forgive their mistakes and keep playing WoW anyways, but if they release a crappy game outside the MMORPG genre then I will know they lost their touch.

    SC Ghost is NOT coming for the PS2 nor the PC. There was never a PC version and the current-gen version were cancelled. Do some research befoe posting.

    Do some extra research please.  The whole SC:Ghost project is, according to blizzard, "Suspended Indefinantly".  They've already deleted the ghost website (though I think there is one lurking around on their EU website.)

    Untrue there are rumors abroad about diablo 3 in the making and at gamestop they still have ghost slated for the gamecube dunno when but according too them its still out there somewheres.Also gotta relize that blizzard is a corporation not just a plain company they have dev teams on both the battlenet games wc3 and d2.Just a huge part and profit goes toward wow,wow is simple just their flagshop game now.

    wait until kaplan implements wow's version of eq's AA.  you just think it's a copy cat right now...

    could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
