Using my mmorpg.com mail for beta signups..

I have been doing this since I got the mail address, simply to have a unique mail for that kind of things.

Now my question is this, to anyone who might know. Does it matter if you use a "online mail" instead of your real one?

I ask because my beta invites abruptly stopped after I began doing this, (I apply to everything). Now I would assume that if you used hotmail.com or yahoo or lycos or whatever of the spam masters them mails would go directly into the respective companys trash can, but is this true for all online mails? Is there a way for them to know even?
