How is crafting now?

Are MATs that drop in zones and from NPCs that are greyed out still insanely hard to come by?

I couldn't take trying to skill up in tradeskills and not have any grease available to me.

Not the only reason why I'm not playing AA atm, but one of the biggest by far.

    When I left the game a month ago I know there was a shortage problem, but with the new merge it most likely has only gotten worse.
