The Sovereignty Of War is a name I decided upon based on influence from other MMOs I have played in the past. MMOs such as Star Wars Galaxies, The Matrix Online, Dark Age Of Camelot, Planetside, and many others ae examples. As you can guess I have had my due of SOEs tyranny, and although flaming is common for anything related to SOE as of late, I believe that SOEs part in Vanguard (strictly sales and distribution) will obliterate any chance of the infamous "CU".
My experience with MMOs has been amazing and I have worked with great, generous, and mature people. I would prefer to keep it that way during my time in Vanguard. Though I dont expect you to be great, I expect kindness and generosity.
The name says it all. Most likely we will be combat based, challenging rival guilds/realms. Combat almost daily. So ,if you can't handle the heat, please reconsider yourself joining. I hope to have more details as time goes by for us to organize these kind of events.
I'm not 100% sure about all the features of the game, but there will be more to talk about when it actually goes to open beta (or launch). I know I am not giving a substantial amount of detail about my plans for the future I would like to accept any personal questions via email at adc1991@aol.com.
Of course I will have a wesite prepared eventually. Luckily for me my family are a bunch of nerds, so I have an army of website designers and html masters. If you are interested in joining of course I would appreciate any ideas and help on the matter.
Ranks are an essential. Though that is a discussable topic as well. I look forward to hearing from those of you who love battle, to be at your best, and to be around people who love it as well.

I'm joining this guild because i know its gonna be awesome. Vaguard will be my first MMO and it sounds really cool. I personally know the leader of the guild, Wargames. He's a great guy and knows a lot about running a guild. Anyone who's reading this is welcome to join the guild. The more the merrier! I'll be posting more as i find out more info about the guild and about Vanguard from Wargames. Long live the Sovereignty of War!

I shall join your guild. Sumpin Sumptin.
(Its Eric from camp btw and my aim acc is gmer92)
I looked at a couple of vanguard sites and came across a couple of things. First of all, the fact that you can own boats, mounts, and houses is really cool. I was thinking that when the game starts, we should buy some land and have a guild house. Maybe a store as well. Seeing as how the game is not being released for a while, this is just speculation. I have no idea what the capabilities of Vanguard are, but from what I have read, they seem vast and exciting. Second, the idea of traveling in caravan while logged off to save time is interesting. Most games, especially ones with large worlds to play in, require traveling time which is usually mindless. Obstacles occur along the way, wasting time. Taking a caravan should fix this problem. Next, I have found that the only jobs or titles i am aware of are warrior, diplomat, and alchemist(that's good, I like Fullmetal). What other job possibilities are there going to be, and what do the different jobs require. Lastly, I was wondering which of the three countries(if that's what they're called) you begin the game in. Does it automatically begin in Thestra, or is there a choice in the matter?
Vanguard seems like it will be an interesting and indepth game with near endless possibilities. I can't wait to learn more and will be waiting in anticipation for the release. Also, The Sovereignty of War is going to be the best guild and we will destroy everyone and everything. I hope Vanguard allows for utter destruction of the world and domination by a great team. But who knows. At this point, the possibilities are limitless. This is gonna be great.

Those are some very good points concerning travel. For the spawn point I imagine by launch there will be multiple places you will be able to begin at.
Utter destruction was something I had in mind but I dought it would suite TSOW's intentions. Also, it would be extremely boring if everyone was perma-deathed. Of course combat will always be a part of this guild, so will maintaining some amount of peace. Competitive combat doesnt mean total destruction. We'll see as time goes by thogh.
Just as an update so far I have a couple of ideas of how I am going to approach the making of our website. As I said before I would take any ideas or help on the matter.
As of yet, i haven't signed TSOW up for Vanguard's Guild Beta Program, but that is something i must address as well. Largo Vivira El Soberania De Guerra!
This is Gamemaster again, as you can probably tell since my name will be right next to my post. Anyway, I can't get enough of researching Vanguard, posting, and working on ideas. Wargames, we had talked about music for the site, and I listened to the different tracks available on joinvanguard.com and vanguardsoh.com. I decided to make a list of the songs I liked and disliked. In some songs, I like specific parts. I have noted those songs. Here is the list:
Like DislikeBordinar's Cleft Ahgram
Cobalt Deep The Highlands ( Its alright)
Elven Forest East Nusibe Necropolis
Highlands Snow Gahren Plains
Martok Hathor Zhi
Shehsho Ni (dislike begin) Stiirhad (a couple of parts are all right)
Widows Veil Peaks (a couple of parts are all right)
Of course, we may need to pick a theme that is related to our race and the location of our guild's base( hopefully when the game starts we will obtain substantial funds to buy bases in different areas). All this music is available for download at the two sites i mentioned previously.
Also, Wargames, Kyle from session two at camp is joining the guild. I have told him most of what I know about Vanguard. He has posted introducing himself to the forums. To conclude, I'd like to say that, Vanguard is going to rock!

I'm posting again because I have found some good information on the various playable classes in Vanguard. Since we are combat-based the adventuring classes probably apply more to us than the crafting, diplomacy, or harvesting classes. The classes that interest me most are as follows:
Druid - uses elemental magic to create an earth elemental and colossus to do his bidding and uses support abilities to heal his companions and help them inflict damage
Necromancer - uses arcane magics to rise and command the dead; he also has a pet called an "abomination," that can level up and become stronger and more hideous
Ranger - an experienced archer that can navigate well in nature and is very agile; he is smart and logical but does not have the brute strength of a warrior
Rogue - an elusive theif who navigates well in urban areas and is very stealthy, which i assume would make him good at reconaissance
Also, a Cleric or Shaman will be needed for healing and using spriitual power. I'm not sure if this information is correct, and some of it may have been changed when i put it into my own words. But for the most part, I think this is a pretty good summation of these four classes. When I play the game, I will probably first consider these. I am especially interested in the Necromancer, whose powers over the dead seem to be useful and intriuging. I also have a lot of interest in the rogue, because, while probably not very strong, he can help sneak around and get information. That's all for now. I hope to receive more information soon.

Just as an announcement construction of our website will be postponed yet again due to the busyness of my cousin. Of course we could create a run of the mill website on our own, but it would only hurt us. Waiting a little while longer for an optimal website is worth it.
Just as well, I have decided to partner with Dylan(Gamemaster58) as guild leaders. This will benefit everyone including me.
Soon enough we will be able to discuss topics in the comfort of our own forums. For now, Largo Vivira La Soberania De Guerra!
well..my quote says it all.
Victorus is my brother in arms and id be glad to fight alongside
him, even if it is, just a, game... umm. yeah
As far as I know Semper9a, we will be on a PvP server. Although I have not spoken to Wargames about the subject, I believe he would want to be on a PvP server. The way I see it, a lot of the fun of an online game is playing against others. There is only so much you can do against a computer.
We're very glad that you have taken an interest in our guild. If you have any further questions, you can e-mail me at dfried4321@aol.com or continue posting on this thread.

Greetings all, I'm sorry I haven't updated anything for you guys on TSOW lately. This weekend was extremely hectic for me because I WENT to the Emmy's. However it was also impossibly fun hanging out with all the stars. Beyond that I have personally decided to start work on our website since my cousin has a very tight schedule with Emmy's weekend. Anyone with ideas or comments on this, or if you have had prior experience with website creation please let me know at adc1991@aol.com.
I'm glad to see so many new faces not only on MMORPG's forums but by email and other forums entirely. I know I speak for myself and Gamemaster when I say we are looking forward to working with you all. We could not be growing any faster.

Well met all,
Allow me to Introduce myself. I am OldWolf. Yep the one and only. I have been Playing MMos for well over a decade and I am looking forward to Vanguard. Here is my list, Ulitma on line, EQ, EQ2, EVE, DAOC, COH, COV, RF,SWG ((quit a month after the CU damn them!)) WOW, DDO, GW and as soon as it goes live VSoH. I have not decided on a class or race. Yeah I know a wolf person would suite, but then again I sometimes like to experiment with the dark side of the force . I would be honored to become a Member of TSoW, I have unlimited time to devote to the game and guild once it goes live. Usually I play a support role, Thief, or Shaman, something along that line although I do like casters and tanks I find myself suited towards the support role. IRL= I am a old man 37, married and living in a haunted house. In the midst of Cajun Country. Anyway I look forward to hearing back from youn and fighting side by side with you all.

First off, I'd like to say that was an... interesting picture. Jk. Lol. Anyway, thanks for the info. I just wanted to address everyone interested in the guild. In case any of you don't know, I'm Gamemaster58. I am co-leader of TSoW with Wargames. I look forward to working with all of you during the time before and after release. As Wargames posted, he will begin construction of our website. Please, we appreciate any ideas and/or feedback. Soon, we will have our own forums to discuss things in, and we can really begin to plan. I can't wait. I'd like to thank all of you for taking time to post and become involved in our guild. Also, I would like to thank Wargames for founding TSoW and allowing me to lead alongside him. If anyone has any questions, comments, or something they want to share, you can e-mail Wargames or myself. My e-mail is dfried4321@aol.com. Fell free to ask me anything you want. Thanks again.
P.S. - I saw the Emmy's, Wargames. I didn't see you. You should have ran onto the stage and said "hello." I'm glad Kiefer Southerland and 24 won. I love that show. Also, what stars did you meet? Okay. That's about it. See ya!

Haha well put Semper. No of course we are not |_33T g4nkz0r3 nub haters, just because we are a combative guild doesn't mean we will be pvping as a guild day in and day out. Of course the opportunity to do some friendly/competitive pvping will always be open. Though all members should present some sort of a combative presence in our guild unless either myself or Dyllan (Gamemaster) says otherwise.
RP'ing is something open to everyone at all times. I know everyone has there urges once in a while to RP and of course there are those who love to RP and base there time ingame off it. I hope to accomodate both these kinds of people.
Yeah, I am also somewhat free to help with just about anything you need. Wargames I did add you to my Xfire friends list (my nickname should be Dreshden btw). So just tell me what to do and I will do it... maybe... I will atleast try to do it
