I LOVED SWG Pre-NGE, what now?

I really miss the interaction of online gaming...being a HUGE SW freak in general...SWG was incredible...after its demise, being a Matrix freak as well, I tried MXO, that sucked.  So, knowing the style of SWG before NGE, what game would satisfy me online now?

Nothing is even close or will even come close to what most of us enjoyed in SWG.

I have been serching for a year+ to find a reaplacement

SWG pre-CU was one of a kind. In many ways lightyears ahead of other games. It takes incredible amount of stupidity
to destroy such a game. And just imagine how it would be now if the used the dev time on the original game instead of the CU and the NGE? Smugglers smuggling, Squad leaders leading 20 men group into battles. Rangers, masters of the wild also using their skills in combat and spying/recon enemy bases. A healthy player based economy. Maybe even combat viechles, capital ships and guild/faction spacestations.
Truth is stupidity won over creativity. Its like the compass pointed to the right direction and the devs said : Feck it, lets go the complete other way.
But im confident that we will have our beloved game back.. Soon......

i am scared to even try it again...

i was a speed capped terakassi master, master doc, and one other master i cant even remember....i could solo ANYTHING except like ancient krayts....the cantinas were full..u needed buffs..it was soooooooooo fun..man...sony does suck...

i fought all the night sisters...anything in the tusken fort...man..i am really missing those days just thinking of it

 Yeah all we can do is hope the developers actually read the writing on the wall and do the right thing and give us back what we all miss so dearly. Ruining the best MMO ever to turn it into the  trava-sham-mockery that it is now was a true injustice to all of us that knew and loved it from its earliest days.       *crosses fingers*

They would rather shut it down, and claim "players didn't understand the beuty we were making" than to go back and admit that they didn't know what a good game is.

Sadly, I fear this is exactly what will happen.

Then again, if they stick with the NGE without putting up classic servers, it doesn't really matter if they do shut it down. Someone is bound to make a new Star Wars MMORPG again if that happens - it's too good a franchise to not do it, but as long as SWG remains I suspect the agreement between LA and SOE prevents another such game from being made.
But one never knows that kind of game that would be - it might not be anything like what made the original SWG so great.

Alas, that won't help.  I just want to see SOE/LA and the SWG:NGE fail.  Time to end the game.
