First off my comment is just that -- I do not think that ever it is possible for anyone to know what A: service time is like unless you have done it period. B: I do NOT have to degrade the NGE subscriber, they do that themselves paying for the product. I have nothing really to validate on that subject, because SOE does that quite fine on it's own.
On a side note: I do recall getting into bar fights for silly reasons overseas, I do think it was stress related and was almost a nature of the beast type of things.
I think that some of these got out of hand in this thread but I see passion in some of it though, no different then NGEr vs Anti-NGErs at times. I am just begining to think that us (SIM) type complex gamers will not be like the (ARCADE) version Nancy non-reading non-complex gamers no matter how hard SOE tries to put that fake skin on the current game. Auto-lock is NOT like it was before, the UI is NOT like it was before.. the fucked up thing about this is that they are NOW back-pedaling to save the game, they are trying to ADD-BACK things they swore they would not...

The funny thing about this thread is what it was about and then it ended up being about.
While I see and understand all of the posts from some of my fellow retired soldiers, I can say this: Arguing with people that have not served is like arguing with a person that pays for the NGE.... pointless.
I do miss the concept of common sense though, if you get burned or shot at you avoid that in the future type thinking is always nice. But then there is the NGE of things...lol where common sense just goes out the door at that point.

First off my comment is just that -- I do not think that ever it is possible for anyone to know what A: service time is like unless you have done it period. B: I do NOT have to degrade the NGE subscriber, they do that themselves paying for the product. I have nothing really to validate on that subject, because SOE does that quite fine on it's own.
On a side note: I do recall getting into bar fights for silly reasons overseas, I do think it was stress related and was almost a nature of the beast type of things.
I think that some of these got out of hand in this thread but I see passion in some of it though, no different then NGEr vs Anti-NGErs at times. I am just begining to think that us (SIM) type complex gamers will not be like the (ARCADE) version Nancy non-reading non-complex gamers no matter how hard SOE tries to put that fake skin on the current game. Auto-lock is NOT like it was before, the UI is NOT like it was before.. the fucked up thing about this is that they are NOW back-pedaling to save the game, they are trying to ADD-BACK things they swore they would not...
They are now doing the Dog and Pony show to save face and some peoples asses..Hence the recent info about. One thing that we all cannot argue is that this whole thing is a corporate and public mess...THAT ALONE is not good.... No matter who says it.

You say you took offence to it and have posted fairly aggressively about the whole thing all the way through the thread. How many times did I directly post to sago ? I actually quoted Obraik once , And then iskarot . Not one time did I even comment on Sago's opinion . I questioned his approach in one of my posts , So what did I do exactly that was wrong ? I actually defended him in regard to jswish's post . Look at the responce I got from Sago .
