safe to download advertized games?

I've tried to download a few of the games advertized on this site.

Mythwars and Anarchy Online being two.

But both Spybot and Norton gives me red alert on them, so my question is.

How safe is it to download these games and do mmorpg.com give guarantees that these companys doesnt fill my pc with junk?

    i can garuntee you that anarchy online is safe to play, its been around forever... it used to be pay to play.. it still kinda is if youwant the expansions and what not but the base game is free.

    Your first step should be to uninstall the huge virus you already have on your computer...

    Norton (A bigger PoS I've never had the misfortune to run accross)

    Use AntiVir and Ad-Aware (they're both free and they both give CORRECT "advice")

    I dont know about mythwars, but the reason spybot gives you a red alert for Anarchy Online is because the patcher system for it "looks" not too unlike a trojan, I can however fully assure you it is entirely safe. A great game by the way, if a little slowpaced

    To my experience, Norton only fks up when you have freeware-junk running alongside with it.
