There is a major problem with the billing - beware logging in or you will be charged

Please be careful if you decide to check out this game.  The new company is having a lot of trouble with the billing.  I was charged immediately for my free trial and this is happening to virtually everyone.  Once signed up you can not cancel your account.  They claim they are working on this but I believe it is criminal to charge people and not give them the chance to cancel.  Please check out the official forums before you give these folks your money.  Read the horror stories from the people suffering overdraft/overlimit fees and then say to yourself, do I really need this hassle in my life.  I had a trial account and have sent numerous emails to try and cancel with no success.  I did not have a regular account and after this, I never would.  I did have a lot of good things to say in the forums about the customer service but a few days later the game was sold and they terminated the majority of the crew.  Now it is virtually impossible to get a response from anyone associated with the game.  Again I say, please be exceptionally careful if you choose to deal with this company.  Here is a quote from their official forums from a senior moderator after a member asked why they were charged with no chance to cancel -  "Have you logged into the game since EI took over? If so, are you aware, that by doing so, you actually gave them permission to bill you for your monthly fees? Its in the Eula, you might want to check that aspect out."  Expect non answers like this.  The sad thing is I almost logged in to try and get some answers and to see if my account was truly canceled.  Beware.

    I can confirm that it's currently impossible to cancel your account (other than by contacting your creditor/bank and dealing with it that way). The webpage currently just generates an error (and has for the past week) when you select the cancellation option, and the email address for customer support no longer works. I reactivated my account two weeks ago to see if anything had changed in the year or so since the last time I played, and I'm still waiting for the new ownership to get account cancellation working, or at least post a phone number for the new billing department. Very disappointing.

    However, if you already have an account, you've got free play at the moment.
    I killed my account at least 8 months ago, I've been able to log in for the past week or so with out a problem
    and NOTHING has shown up on my CC.
