A Scammer Sticky

in City of Heroes
 I made this thread to request a scamer thread one in General discusion so we could report Scammer like the one allready made for bad names, and player killers. I think this would add more of a warning to people who dont want to be scammed. Also this would be good to catch the main character behind many of the low level peddlers that are made to scam.

    How on Eath do you get scammed in City of Heroes/Villains?   I've been playing for 2+ years, and I've never heard of any problems....

    So please, do tell...

    I think OP is referring to the scammer that promised him "Godly trousers of the Morlock Cow King" with +50 to stamina, + 10 to strength, +100 to charisma (watch out girls!) and -500 to intelligence and never delivered those trousers... or did he???

    I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

    Why make a thread about PKers?  Isn't that part of the game?  So what, someone likes to grief.  If you see them, you run. 

    If you got scam, good for you.  If it deals with real money, then that's another issue.  If you're foolish enough to fall for something in game, that's your own doing and that person was just smarter then you.

    err um hmm...deadkinght10 did ya mean in the general catagories General Discussion ?Not many ways in coh/v one can get scammed .only scamms i have heard of would be .player a buys infamy/influance an sale dont show or gives to little for the set cash price.could see some one being scammed about buying power leveling but still again their doing something out side the game to make their game "easyer",kinda makes that hard to muster any amount of "sorry to hear that".

    theirs no trade window scam going on in this game like in eq.no bait an switch on itmes scam like in wow or eq.unless ya talkn the story arch that has the tsoo takeing the family an helions an skulls for a big ol scam .
