I honestly feel sorry for those still stuck with the primitive veiw that humans are somehow special and created by a god to behave for the 70 years or so we are alive and if we are bad then we go to hell lol? If people cant comprehend that religion was made to explain the unknown before science was advanced enough to say why certain things are the way they are and also to CONTROL people. Religion is the ultimate control tool used in the past and to my horror it still freaking is and the fact people dismiss evolution makes me think a good chunk of our race is just retarted.
We started out as RNA in a pool of goo and later after millions of years a chemical reaction made life and DNA in its single cell form. Fast forward from 3.9 billion years ago to 3.2 billion and earth is now colonized by bacterial lifeforms who in turn blanket the earth with oxygen and other atmospheric gases that helped life evolve and adapt. Soon we see multi-cell organisms and species seperation into groups such as Arthropods, vegetation and the first vertabrate a tiny fish called hinerpiton who is our ancestor. What is evolution ? Imo its the struggle faced by life to live and adapt to surroundings weather it be though behavior or bodily changes and give evolution 3.9 billion years and you might even get intelligent life as in our planets case.
The comet that hit Yucatan 65 million years ago also helped with the evolution of mammals and if that comet hadnt struck we most likey would not have evolved.
I have yet to see two monkeys give birth to a human and if evolution was possible something would have had to of given birth to a human. AM I RITE? OR DID THEY APPEAR OUT OF THE AIR? AMIRITE?

Yawn..just like every other scientist when backed into a corner they must use insults. What iam trying to say is if evolution occured with humans, a species had to have giving birth to the evolved human. Evolved things just dont transform like in pokemon or just appear out of the thin blue sky, the human is so complexed that they had to have not only been given life by something of a greater power but also guidence by a greater power. Humans dont have survival instincts like animals or other species.

Theodoryk? A scientist? Uh... He's religious, dude. Anyway, he was just pointing out the obvious. ...Wait! Ah, hell, I agree with Theodoryk about something in a evolution thread...
Anyway, humans didn't "just appear". We evolved way back in the day. Ape share common ancestry with us, but we did not evolve from modern apes. We're both modern animals, ya know? It's not like every other animal in the world stopped evolving so that we could catch up, or something.
Oh, and about the whole "Humans dont have survival instincts" thing... Go get yourself into a life or death situation. Your instincts will kick in. I mean, hell, go play football or something.

Thats not what im saying, evolved humans had to be babys at one point right? So who guided them? Im sure apes didnt because if another ape detects defection or something wrong in their baby they eat them. True story.

I already know the rules of foot ball because i was taught them, i was taught to not get hit by a 300 pound man. In a life or death situtation i was taught not to do something that would involve myself getting killed. Now who taught humans how to do all these things?
Thats not what im saying, evolved humans had to be babys at one point right? So who guided them? Im sure apes didnt because if another ape detects defection or something wrong in their baby they eat them. True story.
I see you're basing your botched theory on the idiotic misconseption that the ape-to-homo sapient evolution occured in one step, with nothing in between. Congratulations on attaining a whole new level of stupid. /clap

Then how else did it occur you are not realizing how complex humans are do you? You are that stupid and moronic to see us that us humans couldnt live like animals or we all be wiped out. If you saw for example how did pre evolved humans know what to eat and not do things to get themselves killed and wiped out? Humans are not like animals. Humans need guidence and teaching. This is were you fail to see common logic.
Ok then tell me where are other humanoid like species at? Why are we the sooo complexed, most intelligent life form on earth? Why were we the only ones to evolve into such a state? Why are there not pigmen or birdmen or turtlemen? Because we were created from another power we were created in the image of a higher being.
Kuzzle: We had an argument once because I took offense to the tone taken by certain parties in regards to religious people, as in calling them "sheeple" and the like. I feel that people with "faith" are no less competent or worthy of respect than their non-religous coutnerparts, remember that some of the greatest minds of our civilization were deeply religious people. Nowhere did I indicate that I myself am religious, speaking out against people who disrespect other people's religous backgrounds doesn't automically make one religious. Infact, I think I recall having this conversation with you once before.

Through a process of gradual, gradiated evolution which occured over tens of thousands of years. Maybe you should read up on the actual theory of evolution and the evidence we've thusfar accumilated before making these idiotic statements.
You are that stupid and moronic to see us that us humans couldnt live like animals or we all be wiped out.
This statement is barely written in English, but allow me to attempt a retort. Yes, ten thousand years ago we lived in the wild, and we lived as animals. The fact that you are apparently deprived of basic survival instinct doesn't make this true for the rest of humanity.
If you saw for example how did pre evolved humans know what to eat and not do things to get themselves killed and wiped out?
Its not my fault that you don't have enough imagination to be able to concieve of human beings living before the emergence of civilzation. Furthermore, I find it hard to understand how this is an argument against evolution. Human beings did not always live in cities, read, write, use tools, or communicate through the use of language. At our dawn, we were only a little better than wild animals, and survived as any social animal survives in the wild. WTF does this have to do with the theory of evolution, and what came before us?
Humans are not like animals. Humans need guidence and teaching. This is were you fail to see common logic.
Animals that live in the wild also need guidance and teaching to learn the survival and adaptation techniques mastered by their predecessors. Animals that are orphaned at a very young age most often perish unless they are adopted by another of their species, this is scientifically proven fact. Your position in evolution is poorly thought out and irrational. Learn to reason.

I chuckled out loud when I read "This statement is barely written in English, but allow me to attempt a retort." Maybe I have a really lame sense of humor... I will admit, i didnt read the whole thread... but the last page got me laughing for half an hour.... i wonder what they teach in school in the US lately ... never saw such amount of ignorant posts in the same thread since the DnL forum died (yeah no more posts in it...) i was getting bored, but this thread shows great potential
The reason evolution is being "downgraded" as it were is due to the current conservative administration. The Mass Public is easily swayed by the dominant ideals at Washington. If we got a more liberal president next, then Creation (or the Intelligent Design same thing) would begin to decline.
When Bush Sr was president, Operation Rescue was a big movement. When Clinton took over, he pushed to make it illegal to bar someone from seeking medical attention (abortion or otherwise). So, you don't hear about Operation Rescue much anymore as a lot of them ended up in jail.
Anyhoo, hopefully the public will come to its senses and quit being so anal.
