If you're going to use a public form to brag about how many MMOGs you've played, you'd best have the testicular fortitude to deal with those of us who choose to ridicule you.

Nobody here is bragging, it was a curiousity, its interesting to see what games other people have experienced, some of those titles I've never even heard of. I think its a little silly that you jump at the opportunity to "ridicule" people for comparing notes in a harmless thread. But of course, this isn't a matter of you hunting for any scrap of an excuse to "ridicule" someone, but a matter of my "testicular fortitude". Go go internet warrior, divide and conquer teh intraweb!

I disagree. It's a shameless attempt to show off. Feel free to disagree, doesn't bother me one bit that you do.
Better still: a MMORPG list of 'good games' I've played. Hopefully in chronological order:
-Runescape. At the time I thought it was good. It was my first, after all. Spent about 7-8 months, got membership then got bored. Needs a proper 3d version; if done right,Jagex stand to make $$$. Gameplay is fine but variety isn't too great.
-Risk Your Life 1,beta. My first 3d mmo. How I treasured this game, despite the 'errors' that never got fixed, and that I had dial-up. Skill system wasn't half-bad and I recall with joy making a big dash up to that giant skeleton guy in 1st human island just to see people fight the boss. Got bloody owned by a skeleton before getting within good range. PvP sucked though; high levels often camped the second island towns per race and there was a lot of empty/useless turf. But I enjoyed it while it lasted.
-World of Warcraft. The big one for me. PvE good, guild good,PvP bad. I put up with the lack of PvP as I took a fair while to hit 60,and I sorta went out looking for PvP. But when I started noticing gear/class-based PvP and general lack of conflict outside of 'grinding' battlegrounds, the PvE couldn't hold me long. The PvE/PvP before 60 was top-class though, and I'd happily return to WOW if they ever re-discover PvP.
-Shadowbane. For renewing my faith in good PvP in MMORPGs. So far I've had some fairly good PvP fun,but I don't think it has got a long-term interest on me.
In-between that I've played many free MMO's,and most sucked. Albatross 18 isn't bad for golf nor Gunbound for Worms-style gameplay. (although GB suffers from too many aliases and hackers)
Now,I look forward to Darkfall being my next big game.
