It's not even a GAME, it's COMMENTS ABOUT A GAME!
Just amazing.

The hysteria in there was working up to some kind of outburst, its not too surprising at all.
What's sad, is that someone gave EI the excuse now to go even more restrictive. They're not going to give the community the benefit of the doubt as being 'mature, friendly players' anymore. Sucks for the rest of the community.
omg no wonder i couldnt get on them anymore.
but i guess i missed the whole discusion.
why would some1 even send a death threat to a moderator?
send it to a dev would make more sence (0.01% more)

I'm spartacus!
No annoying animated GIF here!
EI needs to wake up and get control of the situation today. They need to communicate what they are doing to solve the severe problems that exist with the various systems they have in place (i.e. billing, account management, gave developement, etc.). They need to immediately put up a page that allows customers to cancel. They need to immediately get a viable billing system in place and get that free offer trial period taken down until it is really free! This is one of the tighest communities in all of MMO history and EI has managed to offend and alienate the majority of their core player base because they are not addressing these issues and communicating these efforts to the players involved.
EI you need to get your act together and start behaving professionally or move out of the way and allow a competent gaming company take over.
They should have never gotten rid of Ophelia, she was an expert at taking care of customers and communicating with the player base. She is missed.

The forums are back up and there is word as to what the "threat" was. Someone said in a post to Peaches that they hoped she would die a horrible death. This was part of a rant and to be honest it is not much of a threat. It was more an expression of anger taken out on this volunteer because the player is angry with EI and their lack of professional management of the game they love. What the poster is failing to recognize is that Peaches is a volunteer as a moderator and not an employee of EI. It is wrong to say you hope someone dies a horrible death but it is far for threatening someones life in the direct sense.
On the other hand, Peaches might want to try being less of a company shill and realize that people are hurt enough without trying to always sound like it is the players fault that EI is messed up. The comment about the customer being at fault because it is in the EULA comes to mind. At this time she and the other moderator might want to show a drop of compassion for the folks that are bieng mishandled by a company that appears to care very little about this tight knit community.

You know, I've never even played Horizons but i have come through this community a few times and I do have to say that Ophelea was just about the best customer service rep any game could have asked for. I am sorry that your games new owners appear to be short=sighted asshats. At least, that's the impression I've gotten from the threads here recently. As far as making them listen, your wallet can speak louder than words

So it wasn't 'real', it was still a asshat thing to do to poor Peaches, who's always struck me as being rather sensitive.
