Which character should I play?

Now, I played EQ2 at release and played a Wood Elf Paladin to 26 on Befallen.  I was pretty bad at the economy and I could never get good gear or spells, so I just quit and played WoW.  Fast forward to yesterday, where I saw Kingdom of Sky and I bought it.  Problem is, I don't know where to start.  Should I start anew or try playing my Paladin again?  I enjoyed the Pally and I'm fairly good at tanking, but my armor leaves much to be desired and I'm fairly rusty.  I'm a bit burnt out on PvP servers, but I started a Wizard anyway on Nagafen and he's level 8.  Not sure if I'll keep him though, seems a bit weak.

Do yall think its possible to ressurect my 26 Paladin and make him viable again?  I'd love to just skip ahead to 26 and pick up where I left off, but I don't know if it's possible.  I might just go into tradeskill mode for awhile till I make some cash and get some decent gear, but then I'd need help on the revamped system...buh, this game is soooo much better but this dilemna is annoying me

The best thing anyone can do after a game has been out for a while is join a guild. Your guildmates (if your in a decent guild) usually offer to make items for you for cheap or no cost at all. GL.

a few ideas to help resurect your pally:
    1. start an alt just to channel a bit of cash and some items to the pally. do a bit of cash gathering, send any armour drops the pally can use over and so on
    2. use the pally to mentor a few people starting out. show them the ropes, and get yourself a bit of easy cash at lower levels, and maybe even some half decent gear if you find someone to group who's close to your level
    3. start the pally over. you'll find it very quick to start on the island, and when you get to about 18ish, will probably find things start to look familiar again, and be able to pick out some of the old places and techniques, but having had the chance to get better beginings

    hope this helps
