Is Fileplanet Worth It

I'm a subscriber and i feel its worth it.
I got 2 free games of my choice with my annual subscription.
Plus ive been introduced to soo many new games i would have never heard of if it weren't for fileplanet and not only that i get to download the game without waiting in line at a super high speed.
My regular download speed tops at 150k/bs but with fileplanet's downloading software i pass 200 kbs.

All that for like 40 bucks? totally worth it, the 2 games i got alone are like 50 bucks each, and the beta
thing is great, i get to beta test out the latest games without having to worry about being picked out
of thousands of people.

I think this year will be even better because of all the new mmos coming out soon.

I dont know what package the quarterly gives you, but if you just want to get it for the beta, just pay for a month. and resubscribe every time a beta comes out.

I don't have it myself but some of my friends do and they say it's really worth of it.

My normal download speed on Fileplanet is 250kb/s, how much would it be with subscribtion?

Please, there isn't anything on fileplanet you can't get anywhere else. Unless you have really crappy broadband, it's not that big a speed improvement. The only difference between free and paid is no queing and you can download more than 1 file at once. If waiting for 15 minutes to have your turn to download is too much for you to handle, then pay. I for one have enough patience. And as far as the betas go, I do not support Fileplanet Subscribers having first crack since the point of beta is to have someone who is truly interested in the game searching for bugs, checking quest and items for functionality, etc.; not some 12 year old who "gets to play the game free before everyone else".
I do not pay for access to betas and never will. And that is the only thing Fileplanet has going for it. Its game demos and files outside of betas are available many more places at the same time or can be torrented when one of the paying suckers puts it up. So, long story short, Fileplanet is NOT worth paying for. Period.

I never payed for fileplanet but the free membership gives you alot of games and downloads. Im thinking about paying but im not sure it will make much difference except that you dont haveto que?

I'm sorry, how does not finding paying for their subscription worthwhile not make me a dedicated gamer? Everything that they have, except for betas and some demos, do not require a subscription. I'm 33 years old and as far as money goes, I have absolutely no problems there. You want to attack and criticize my view of Fileplanet, be my guest. I've been paying for FilePlanet's Founders Club for two years now(WoW Stress Test).  My renewal comes up next month and I will once again be renewing.

I bought my two best friends Founders Club subs for their birthday's a year and a half ago, they were more than happy to renew it the next year(and I assume this year as well)...

I've played more games, seen more beta's, more demo's, more movies/trailers than I would've otherwise...

My download speed after waiting in line at FilePlanet prior to subscribing was typically 100-200kbps.  Now I have had up to 900 with an average of 700/s and I don't have to wait...

As a WoW player I can state how bad Blizzard's downloader SUCKS.  Thank goodness for FilePlanet then as well, while the rest of my guild is crying about their waiting for the downloader I'm in game playing...

I've received no less than 6 free games through their HitPoints program and I still have points left for more...

Yes, I'm a FilePlanet fanboi. 

Yes, their downloads can typically be found elsewhere.

Yes, their exclusive offers suck if you aren't a member.

Yes, patience is a wonderful thing, I don't have it, sorry.

Welcome to the internet.  There's money to be made and people are going to make it.  This is not going to revert, I'm sorry.  QQ all ya want but that's how it is.

But yeah, to Mr. OP: As far as I'm concerned it is worth it.  Prolly not as much as I'm paying but hey, I work my tail off for my monies and I don't mind spending it on what I want.

My speeds with anything Fileplanet are thru the roof..thats besides the point.
The Beta thing I agree with regarding the tests..BUT..

FP IS worth it! It's not just about the Downloads or Beta tests. It's also about community involvement in general. The Beta's and Demos are there and at the discretion of the user.

So, long story short, Fileplanet is great for those that enjoy the diversity it offers in relation to other sites...and not so great for those who might think that saving an extra $ or 2 gives them grounds to justify WHY they need to come here and bash those who DO enjoy the benefits.
..Oh...."Period"!
