Firefly/Serenity MMO

i got to thinking after watching more than a few episodes and the film more than a dozen times about why no one has choosen to do a Firefly/Serenity MMO. Now regardless of your standing on the show and the film i'm a fan and i think theres many fans out there that wanna take to the verse and see the black. Hell it'd certainly give Star Wars Galaxies a run for its money (course that aint to hard these days). I know making games on established IP's can be a pain but Joss Wheedon seems like a sound bloke and i'm surprised he hasnt seen an oppurtunity to lets his fans live in his verse and have there own adventures like Mal n co.

    I rather see a game that has no IP related to it, but is inspired by Firefly/Serenity, and similar science fiction space western/opera.

       I remember seeing a topic like this a while back. Maybe a week or two... Actually, it could have been several months. Ya know, I just can't remember...

       Anyway, I'd rather see something original, and closer to Farscape. What can I say, I love aliens! ...The whole living ship thing I could do without, though. It would mean no upgrades or anything, which was fine in the show, but might kind of suck in-game. It would also make you feel like a bastard for selling it to get something better. Couple other things in the show I could do without, too, but I don't remember anything else specific... Anyway, I did say like, didn't I? Yeah, well... *shrug*

    yes it seems a Firefly mmo thread is started once a week, though I would like to see a firefly mmo myself.

    Yeah that would be coool to have an mmo inspired by Firefly..

    Every time a new space mmo comes out, everyone will be begging for the ability to fly capital ships, having AI wingman fly with them, and lots of other single player/RTS aspects to an mmo to claim that it will have more depths in a sci-fi franchise which will make my head spin.

    In a heart beat as far as my answer for the poll question . Hell Half the time I'm in SWG I think of it as Firefly . It makes more sense because the game definitely isn't star wars lol .

    SWG isnt Starwars. hell it used to be at some point.

    just one question about a Firefly MMO, profession wise.. companion? 18+? mature audience?

    they really have to be carefull. what would be great is along that theme of cowbow in space type with smuglers (that actually smuggle stuff)  soldiers for a given faction (feds or browncoats) doctors pilots gunslingers  traders

    Firefly would make a great MMO setting... but a game set in the Farscape universe would be even more so. Dont shut out the idea of living ships, just see it as the ultimate in Creature Handling, plus the ships can give birth to diffrent classes of ships, which could be sold to other players.

    hmmm.. Luxan warriors, Peacekeeper pilots, Hynerian diplomats, Delvian healers, medics that can replace limbs, organs and brains...

    I would really love to see a Firefly mmo. The setting is great. I love the fact they use guns and the outer worlds are all poor. The storyline is quite indepth  it would make a wonderful game with alot of possiblities for player roles. I would only like to see this game made by a big company though.

    Question though, who would you be in the world of firefly? Me, being a girl, I find being a companion  intriguing :)
