Is this game totally instanced like Guild Wars?

Hello all, can't find info on the sites as to whether this game is totally instanced like guild wars or dd online. I really hope it isn't as i refuse to play any game that is just a glorified single player wrapped in mmo clothing.

Otherwise looks good, but we'll see...

Thankfully it isnt instance, most of the world will be opened. There are some instances though that are to big for the world engine to manage. Like the siege at the enemies gate. But no this game wont be like guild wars where everyone is in thier own little world.

Not even enemy capital raids are instanced. Scenarios are the only pvp mode that will be instanced. But of course there will be some instanced pve dungeons.

I read recently that the dungeons aren't going to be entirely instanced, just the ends of the dungeons where the bosses are.  They were describing the Night Goblin caves and saying that the ends of the dungeon were going to be instanced so that you can get a group together to slay the bosses of the dungeon.

This is great news to me because I love grouping up with people while I"m in a dungeon, and getting to the bottom and finding a group to slay the boss would be great for immersion and team work.  I think they've hit the nail on the head as to how to incorporate instances.

i'm glad that this game wont be instanced, ive played guildwars for like a year or so... loved it. but it wasnt open ended at all which kinda pissed me off. i wanted to run around and not be stuck inside a small container.
