For now World of Warcraft. Maybe The Chronicles of Spellborn if I like it when it releases. I have hopes that the xpac will help some of WoW's PvP problems. I know it is fixing some major issues (like the honor system) but I am not sure it will make world style PvP any better.
Wow will IMO never have decent PvP. The Reasons are simple.
No collision detection - You don't need it but when primary PvP is based around jumping, spinning, and runthroughs it just isn't going to fly.
Intanced. 12v12 and such, and pointless as a realm effect. You can't be outnumbered really. And if you are it's pointless to call and ask for help because nothing is at risk. If you win a match you are rewarded not your realm. Something as simple as if your side wins AB 5 times in a row your faction gets +10% experience would do alot to bring more people into PvP. If the enemy wins three times in a row maybe it's time to get a PvP group together to end there streak, instead of waiting and then needing to beat them 5 times in a row.
Equipment is too varied. A newb that hits level 60 and wants to PvP will be outclassed for a very very long time. That is if they can play enough to raid PvE or grind honor. Otherwise they will be outclassed fovever. Let me restate, varied gear is fine; but you can't have good PvP when average gear is >20% worse then uber gear. For balance PvP stat wise everyone needs to be within about 5% of each other. AKA 1 Raid Warrior should never be able to kill two equaled level warriors (that never raided) based on equipment alone.
So, you end up with an unrealistic, pointless, newb unfriendly environment. ******* My suggestion would be making jumping cost something. When you land you stagger (stop moving completely), or lose energy, rage, hp, or something. Add Collsion detection in PvP areas.
Give PvP wins a realm effect. Make a new dungeon and only let the "winng" PvP faction access it. Or bonus exp or reduced merchant prices for the "winning" realm. Keep personal PvP rewards, just add some server wide ones.
Cap DPS in Battle Grounds. You can't have someone that has been playing since launch able to do >20% more damage then someone that's been 60 for a month. Let strength/int boost damage. Just cap the DPS a weapon can innately have. Spells would be harder to balance, but you cap +damage.
World PvP is a different story. As you can overcome gear advantages in shear numbers. In instanced PvP if you put 12 uber equiped players vs 12 averagely equiped players their is little contest. In World PvP if 12 uber equiped players went and attacked a town you could zerg them with 30 average players and kick them out. Still even in world PvP you don't want huge differences between average and uber gear.
I'm going to give the new Guild Wars expansion a shot when it comes out, but if I end up losing interest in Nightfall quickly then I guess it's back to WOW.

I recently moved overseas so I'm currently playing "Save your money for a system that doesn't blow". It's boring as shit. Once I do get a new system built, I'll get NWN2 and possibly reinstall DAOC for a while coz it never gets old.
I swear I feel like a adict. I keep going back and trying to play WoW because "I REMEMBER HAVING A BLAST"......and I expect that same Euphoria, that same GOOD FEELING. But it just doesnt happen. Being on a farm team for pvp was very productive Numbers wise but wasnt exactly fun. And pugging it is even worse when you face farm teams.
New expansion for WoW is coming out...and they revealed warlocks talents pretty early. They did it one class at a time. I thought Warlocks talents were ridiculous...and then I saw everyone elses talents. mmmyeah...
Last class they revealed talents and new spells for-- HUNTERS....talk about IMBALANCE. Marksmanship tree has a 41 point talent that is essentially a shot that Silences --20 second cool down. Its like hold up....you mean hunters in decent gear had trouble against casters in cloth? Didnt see that one coming. They can already drop traps....feign death which breaks your target on them...rapid fire which coupled with a pet means your not getting a spell off if its not instant. But they needed more? Oh they also have a trap that springs multiple snakes on you.
I could go on and on....I think I just need to quit cold turkey, uninstall it...and walk away.
Yep, that's the same with me. I just gave my acct to my buddy whos wife wanted to start playing and was done with it. It was just disappointment after disappointment with that game. The guild system was my beef. I hate huge guilds. Our small guild could compete with the largest guilds on the server in PvP pretty consistantly but it made it so much harder because we only had a few epics here and there, aside from a couple who hit high warlord and got the gear from that. So then it became evident that we needed to raid and beef up our gear. Well we were a very tight roughly 20 man guild, but we needed 40 to do anything big aside from ZG. There was no alliance system so the guild had to get larger. So decisions were made and people started joining left and right and then it just became everything I hated in a guild. We had our 20 who were originally just out to have fun, and then we have 40 more who were basically gear whores. That's when I just threw up my hands and said forget it. I really don't like PvE raiding. It's just not my thing. But I could go on and on for days on pretty much any aspect of the game. So yeah, uninstall it and chuck it. You'll feel better for it. God knows I do.
Well, I got Dark Crusade yesterday and I love it. Especially now that I can mess with the color schemes. Tau Empire!

Im trying out a few right now, EVE free trial, its fun but I cant see me playing it for months and months. And also SWG, im a 2 year vet and im sticking with that game for a long time, the nge isnt that bad if you really take a look at it right now and what they have improved upon. But im always looking for another game.
Been playing WOW but i cancled it again, might go back to play EVE for a bit.
So bored right now, been pulling old games off the shelve, Falcon4, stronghold and civ. RTS i'm playing Company of heros which is very nice just a bit short.
WoW was great up until you hit 60 then I got bored really fast. Dropped it for EVE. Dropped EVE from sheer boredom, hehe, I could play that game and learn more guitar at the same time.
Trying to find me a copy of Dark Crusade and am very, very eager for Mark of Chaos!!! Gonna be a blast on multiplayer!

Hopefully Warhammer: Mark of Chaos comes out soon and I can play that to tide me over till W:AR comes out. Sure WAR is gonna have it's realease problems (take a look at DDO, ouch......and they are still working out the bugs) but WoW was'nt 100% stable with it's content either, so no matter what happens when it's realeased finally, i'm stickin with it
I got Dark Crusade and I've been having a good time with it. Don't know how much longer I can tolerate getting owned so many times, lol. I never was so good in RTS games despite that I really like them.

Well, Video if you're playing the orks expect that a lot. I think DoW spoiled me. I'm not playing any other RTS with resorce management again. Strategic points are the way to go now. BTW Tau kick major ass!

You are absolutely correct, Tau kick a lot of ass. I'm still playing Dark Crusade despite a bad/frustrating game every now and then. DoW also spoiled me a lot, ever since the first one back in 2004 I just loved its take on RTS games, a very fresh approach to the genre. I like the Tau the most in the TT version of Warhammer 40,000, needless to say when I finally heard they were being added in Dark Crusade I just had to. Although the previous two did make me "appreciate" the Eldar
