Whats a fun free to play MMO that isn't a grind fest?

i've tried out many mmo's in the last month and they quickly bore me.  i tried MapleStory... and it was horrible.  I like the cutsie wootsie graphics but it gets SO FRUSTRATING!  Then i tried Hero Online.  It kept me occupied for about a week... then it just seemed like a grind fest.  I like PvP a lot so i tried out Legend of Ares.  It was an okey game, but when you start getting in the big PvP fights my piece of crap labtop stalls and shuts itself down.  so... my question is... "whats a fun free MMO that isn't a grind fest and won't lag the hell out of my labtop?"

Sounds like guild wars would be fun for you. Factions is a standalone expansion where you can power level to max in 2 days or less then the main game is pvp missions.
