Looking for a new MMORPG

lilreap2k3lilreap2k3 Member UncommonPosts: 353

In the past few years I have played these game with my ratings included:

*Diablo 2 (Dunno if you can call it mmorpg but this game was great until BOTS came along) 9
*Nexus Tk: Kingdom of the Winds (Has the potential to be the best mmorpg ever; just needs a few changes) 9
*Everquest Online Adventures (Utter crap, no content whatsoever) 3
*Asheron's Call (Nice game but hardcore gamers get bored quick; 8+ hours/day) 7
*Ragnarok Online (Would be pretty good if it weren't for BOTS) 7

As you can see I have been through a good amount of mmorpgs and have yet to find one good enough to keep me playing. I am looking for a new game that has a good Replay value, trade skills, and is solo player friendly. I get bored very easily killing the same old creatures for hours and hours a day. The best mmorpg I have played is Nexus Tk from Nexon Inc. The game doesn't have the greatest graphics in the world but the fun factor is excellent. The only thing that pulled me away from that game is the fact that you have to find groups of people to hunt with. It is nearly impossible to solo anything in that game. They have the best Trade skills I have seen by far; as well as the BEST PVP EVER!! The community is great, people sign on for hours just to chat with friends. The replay value of this game is great because even after you have reached the max level, you can then "buy" life and mana with the experience you get from hunting. The highest player in the game has been playing for nearly 6 years and has around 3million life and 900k mana. I am sorry this is turning into an ad for this game but I'm just trying to show what type of games I like.

So to sum it up, I'm looking for a game with good replay value, trade skills, and solo friendly base. I am looking to pay 10-13$/monthly fee and if possible little to zero retail cost. The graphics can be anything but Runescape level. ::::35:: Mainly a game that has something to work for and lasts years and not just months. Any suggestions are very welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Playing - Minecraft, 7 Days To Die, Darkfall:ROA, Path of Exile

Well obviously you came to the right place. Hmmmm well I suggest you too wait for WOW or EQ2. You could try WOW beta but it has to be 2nd phase because 1st phase over with applications. Although EQ2 is coming to beta soon. I don't suggest EQ1 because most now are hardcore gamers and like tons of expansion you'll have to buy unless you go to that new server I remember somewhere so you can play with people instead of going to zones with no one to hunt with. So right now i'll give you the MMORPG i'm kind of looking for.

Should be good MMORPG (BTW these I say 100% these are years and years not like RO)
    1.EQ2 (Future)
2.World Of Warcraft (Beta stage application over though)
3.Horizons (not sure, but heard alright)
    4.City of Heros (beta stage)
5.FFX1 (well i didn't like it too much but others do)
    6.DAOC

Sounds to me like you would definitely like Ultima Online.  You can find the game in bargain bins at Wal Mart and places for 5 bucks.  It is solo-friendly, has some PvP, not as good as before, and excellent trade skills.  There are even tons of free shards out there that are very good.

Sadly, the majority of online players' definition of a newbie, noob, newb:
"Anyone that has been playing at least one day less than me!"
