Hey, I have played alot of the recent MMO's
SWG, Guild Wars, Eve Oniine, COH, EQ, EQ2, WoW... well you get the picture. Well I basicly flew through the ones I liked and droped the ones I hated, I would like to start a new MMO right from launch but am haveing a hard time decideing..
My all time favorite game would have to be Pre-CU SWG... The reason I loved it so much was the community... in saying this, What upcomeing game is going to have the same type of comunitly I grew on.
This is kinda a Poll... It mostly has to do with the release of Vanguard, and PotBS, but if there are any other games out there that are about to launch please let me know.

Well, I'd recommend either Hero's Journey, or Phantasy Star Universe.
Hero's Journey: Well, Hero's Hall has a great community. It's a fansite, sure, but there is quite a bit of GM involvement on the forums. If I were you, I'd shoot over to there and at least check it out. I mean, what could it hurt?
Phantasy Star Universe: Phantasy Star Online had a pretty good community, and many will be moving on to Phantasy Star Universe when it comes out. Plus, if you get the XBox 360 version, you'll have voice chat. PSO World has some pretty good info on it. Yeah, it's called "PSO World", but that's because it was started before PSU was even announced.
You cannot forecast a community. Communities are organic. You'll have to come back and check out what the community is like once the game is released and people have had time to sink their roots in.
HJ will have a huge roleplaying community. Simutronics also aggressively encourages roleplaying in their games. The game will have more content than you can shake a stick at and it will not be charging for expansions either.
Darkfall, if it makes it (no reason to think it wont at this point) and delivers on it's promises (that I'm not entirely convinced of yet) will be the next UO/SWG type game out there. Right now I have my hopes pinned on this one but I'm keeping a fair ammount of skepticism because I've seen too many "The next UO" titles turn out to be garbage.
WAR may be very good too but I have to say I'm VERY nervous about EA buying out Mythic.
Other than that I don't really consider anything out there worth watching... possible exception of Tabula Rasa.... but not sure what to make of that one yet.
Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.
