What is your favorite all time class that you play in every mmorpg? For me i love monks just something about em, EQ had my favorite monks. When i found out WoW didnt have monks i was upset =/
Only thing that will kill World of warcraft is World of warcraft 2
My favorite class is probaly an ligthly armored dual axe wielding crazy head. What could you call it? Bezerker probaly, like in DAoC. Another one.. The mage, if done correctly. Shadow Mages from WHFRPG 2 ed. to be more precise.
i like to play a female to0n in every mmorpg!!! im an asian young man and loves to admire a female figure.... loves to stare behind them when i play..... in lineage2 i was dro0ling all over my dark elf with thong... especially in do0m set armor! but in everquest2.... their females are to0 ugly! so i didnt play the female... instead i play the male human... they all lo0ks like clay... their graphic stinks so i quit.
i love to play class that is fast and strong.... and crits alot... like plainswalker in lineage2. overall i dont like class that has high hp..... i jus like any class that has both speed and strenght and sacriface hp.... like shilen knight in lineage2. overall i like to play a rogue type class.... like in last chaos. i like archers to0 but not as much as dagger user... or any class that is fast..... fastness is my mainly i like and second is strenght... but i dont like berserkers/warriors cuz they have high hp and sacrifice their speed.....

You fail at being witty.
To answer the question, one class I've played in every mmorpg I've been in is primary healer. I'm good at healing, at preventing group wipes, at managing my own agro, and from what I've seen that's actually quite rare. Healers ultimately make or break any group, so if you're good at what you do, word gets around, and people appreciate you. And I dig that alot.

If they existed in MMOs I'd have to play the diablo-style necromancer, what with the skeleton armies and whatnot. Yes I know it would wreak havoc on low-end computers and game servers, but... In the future maybe
Bards, Rangers and Adventurers. Basically any self sufficent class. In CoH I prefer a Scapper/Claw/Tech or a Blaster/Assault/Tech Device. Essentially any class I can play alone.
Nukers, love em. I've played the primary bolt caster's in all three realms of DAoC, I've played wizards in all three versions of EQ and the first toon I leveled up in WoW was a mage. Most of my toons in COH had some sort of blaster power set as a primary or secondary.
Good topic!
I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
I'm with Techleo -- I like the self-sufficient, jack-of-all-trades character. So in a class-based game I usually wind up playing a Ranger, since ExplorerCrafterFighterMage is not a class found in your typical MMORPG.
(Nick Yee with the Daedalus Project has investigated the Jack-of-all-Trades model of gameplay. Interesting stuff.)
In the skill-based games I prefer, I usually manage to glom onto a wide array of skills, mostly of the Explorer variety. The bad news is this prevents me from ever seeing the "best" content. OTOH, I get to experience a much wider range of the content in a game than most players who specialize in just one thing. So I still feel like I get my money's worth with a broadly capable character.
Well, at least until my nice multi-skill-based game gets transmogrified into one with 7 or 9 cookie-cutter classes from which there is No Escape. Sigh.

for me nothing bets the almighty power of raising the dead from their slumber only to serve ur dark purposes and just sit back and watch them do the work for ya muhahahahahahha it gets even better if u think to urself this poor soul who once was a great and pwoerful knight in his/her lifetime is now twisted and wretched and serving only me!

A Paladin. I love being a warrior who can heal himself.
When the game I'm trying forces me to choose a class, I go with a melee warrior class. Otherwise, I dabble in everything, but mainly melee, healing, crafting, and offensive magic.

Warrior Class and Archer Class are my main choices in my past mmo's.
archer
shooting arrows from a distance is more fun than slashing with a sword or axe.
though some games aren't so archer friendly...no advantage for ranged weapon...
