Counter-Strike:Source problems

Well i got CSS about a week ago and i have installed it and everything, but when ever i launch it just flashes a quick  picture of a counterstrike and then it never launches into the game agn...

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Or somebody that has had that problem before...
