You're kidding, right? It's possible you're being sarcastic and I'm just missing it
It's "Geonosian" (as in Geonosis), not "Genosian", which makes "Geo cave" a lot more appropriate as a short form than "Geno cave".
One of the worst in the actual game (e.g. not by players) in my opinion is "Nabooian", which should be "Nubian". That has annoyed me since I first started playing

I belive all would agree, that one thing this game doesn't need, is more "Nubs"
Used as a modifier before a noun: their accomplishments; their home town.
Usage Problem. His, her, or its: “It is fatal for anyone who writes to think of their sex” (Virginia Woolf). See Usage Note at he1. See Usage Note at they.
The key here is that it denotes OWNERSHIP... "Its their bad spelling."
To, into, or toward that place: wouldn't go there again.
At that stage, moment, or point: Stop there before you make any more mistakes.
In that matter: I can't agree with him there.
The key here is that it refers to a location. "Those people over there are bad spellers."
pron.
Used to introduce a clause or sentence: There are numerous items. There must be another exit.
Used to indicate an unspecified person in direct address: Hello there.
"There are bad spellers here."
adj.
Used especially for emphasis after the demonstrative pronoun that or those, or after a noun modified by the demonstrative adjective that or those: That person there ought to know the directions to town.
Nonstandard. Used for emphasis between a demonstrative adjective meaning “that” or “those” and a noun: No one is sitting at that there table. Them there beans ought to be picked.
"That guy there is a bad speller."
I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!

There is no point being anal about other peoples bad spelling, it is something that will never change, if you don't like it, put them on your ignore list. Getting annoyed about spelling will only ruin the game for you.
With regards to the American vs English spelling, like other said both are right, but... I try and use the spelling that the game uses, so in most games that means using American English (I am from the UK).
If you want to correct someones spelling, do it gently, maybe just use the word in conversation with them a few times, they might pick up the new spelling without you sounding like a strict school teacher.
I cant believe you guys just wasted a thread on people's spelling, i expected a lot more out of you guys then this petty bullshit. So what if someone spells something wrong, did it hurt you in any way? Every single one of you who just posted about words that pissed you off should grow up.
If anyone finds any errors in my post, to bad you can kiss my ass b/c i really dont care. So many different ages post on these forums, and not everyone was a spelling bee champ either.

I have to admit tho, being norwegian and all, that "TURRENT" ticks me off alot.
I've played wargames since I had a computer, and online for quite a bit (No, CS and other crappy FPS's don't count), most notable Panzer Commander, Panzer Elite and WW2OL..and yet in games where people drive panzers around, needing to know weakspots, strongpoints, aiming, tactics and whatnot....THEY still go "Fu**! That jerry hit my turrent!"
I did not hit a turrent, I hit the god darn Turret! And even better, I hit the mantle on the gun on that TURRET!...And killed his gun and gunner ofcourse

Lighten up.
The word you most need to learn is not noob, nor is it nub.
In fact, it is a phrase, not a single word.
And that phrase is "Yes, my master." In a deep, sonorous, resonant voice.
Actually, it's all slang hence there is nothing official. Since it's not official, Wikipedia <oooh, clicky!!> is as good a resource as any.

I'm just curious as to what you actually mean by this. How can you "waste" a thread? Are there limits to the amount of threads on this forum, so that this threads existence robs us of another more meaninfull thread?
If I type "blablablabla", does that mean I've wasted 12 characters? Did I spend those characters resulting in me having to forfeit them in another context later on? There's a lot of a's there, does it mean I'll eventually need to start typing "Str Wrs" instead of "Star Wars" later on because I've run out of them due to these recently wasted characters?
And did this post, which is pretty useless, mean I've wasted one of a limited amount of posts I can make, so that when the time comes that I want to post the most profound enlightening thing ever to be seen on these boards, I risk not being able to because I've wasted a post on this?
It's true I suppose. We need to be more carefull about how we spend out threads, posts and letters. We can't keep wasting them like this - imagine what will happen when everyone runs out? The boards will come to an unspectacular end because there's simply no more threads or posts left to add. That will be a very sad day indeed, so let us all make an effort to postpone the inevitable as much as possible - everyone stop wasting your posts!

I tend not to comment on other peoples spelling deficiencies, largely because my own spelling is teh suck, but also because I'm aware that a good number of players don't have English as their first language. OTOH, there are some who do and whose spelling is diabolical... and yes, in some cases it does matter.
After all, if you can't be arsed spending two seconds proofing your own copy then then why in heck should anyone else care about what you've written?
But anyway, the one spelling mistook that really used to grind my grain was the people looking for the "Mixture Farmer" or better yet, the fricking parrot leadr.
