Has anyone heard anything about crafting in this game?
I've yet to hear anyone mention whether there will be any, and if so...how it will work.
I played Horizons for a little while, almost entirely because of how great the crafting was set up in that game. Or, at least how much better it is than others.
After WOW, I'm looking for a game that will actually meet its potential for those of us who enjoy crafting just as much as exploring.

havent got the most best memory, but i do recall something with crafting will be a good thing to have.
like in WoW, where most crafted was completly suckage, while in WAR all craftable things will be very good to have.
also heard something with craftable seige weapon helping thing.. (not sure)
very little has been said about crafting and what has been said prolly just represent personal opinion of the speaker more than actual crafting devs plans.
Barnett spoke about crafting, very vaguely, maybe hinting at the fact upgrading equipment will be more important than actual making it.
Siege engines have been ruled out, they will be present only in instanced scenarios and already made, built in the terrain. no more backpacks of wood and ta-daaah! insta-trebuchet.

The Offical FAQ is pretty vague on the subject, but Mythic claims it's going to be revolutionary. I wouldn't put too much on Crafting being an alternitive to Fighting though, even the healers are involved in the fight in this game.
Volkmar, where are you getting your info. I've never heard no seige engines BUT I have heard from people who have played WAR demos that they are in and only one class per race can use them. Which makes sense so far because we have engineers and squig hearders.
Well, it was a dev posts. But it said no crafting of them and possible available only in instances. possible they changed their mind on the second point
Let's see if i find it out... ah here it is!

The quote is:
"Siege in the game is focused more on the anti-personnel end of the spectrum, rather than complex fights with walls. Generally, do not expect to drag siege engines around in your backpack. Instead, they'll be part of scenario missions. "
so not a dev post, but a preview of this very site
