What aggervates me the most

About this game is the name change. I'm sorry, but MIDDLE EARTH ONLINE sounds leaps and freaking bounds better than Lord of the Rings Online. If I were unaware of MMO's I'd just assume it was another Electronic Arts cash crop console game to be honest.

Also, by having the LotR name, the devs are confined by the movies/book and they're gonna piss off lore freaks if they introduce things that weren't in the books, but that have existed in Midde Earth.

Just my rant of the day.

I truly understand yur point and I feel similar. But I can also see the developers/publishers point of view and thats numbers - numbers mean money. The younger generation might have seen the movies but many have not read the books, so the only way to cater them is to get them by using a name they can associate something with.

Only my 2 cents.

And yes they might "piss" of some lore peeps but the majority will stay. C'mon its the only MMO with this "environmental setting".
