Old school UO vet here wanting to bring it to WoW....check it out

First of all, I am a UO vet since 97 and was a hardcore pker/pvper...I recently retired last summer.  I want to bring UO pvp and pking to WoW.....

AVATAR's of FEAR is RECRUITING

Avatar’s of Fear, a brand new PvP guild is looking for players that plan to play on a PvP server. Originally organized under the name “Clan LORE”, Avatar’s of Fear plans to be a strong PvP community of new and old MMORPG players.

Currently we are recruiting all Horde races them being, Orc, Tauren, Undead and Troll. At this time the PvP info that Blizzard has granted us is rather bleak. Because of this, there is little to no knowledge of what type of PvP server blizzard plans to provide us with, if any that is.

We will open up recruitment to Alliance races if the PvP server that Blizzard provides us with is an all vs. all server, meaning every player can engage in combat no matter the race or team. However for now, we are under the assumption that the server will be a teams server, with Horde vs. Alliance. So at this time we are only going to be recruiting players that plan to play on the Horde team. If Blizzard does not provide any PvP server, then we will play on a normal server on the Horde Team.

Community is very important to us, and we will strive to create a community on our Forums and a strong community in-game.

I didn’t want to make this too long, a lot of our information is up on the web site.

What exactly do u mean by "bringing" pvp to WoW...I heard its no pvp, thats y im not playin it.

We are hoping for a full pvp server, or a faction based server.  If all they ahve is a regular, then we will go to the pvp zones.

Just recently joined AoF and it looks like they have there shit together. Looking forward to owning WoW with them. There will be some kind of PvP in WoW and I know blizzard won't let us pvp lovers down

I am also a old school UOer and loved to pk/pvp and I quit two winters ago. What my point is why give WoW a shot at bringin pvp to it because they arent promising any pvp at all. Why not give a game like Dragon Empires, Darkfall or even Dark and Light a shot....these games look like they could be awesome and they are promising pvp, especially DE and DF.

Many people on the blizzard team are hardcore pvpers and have said so the chances of a full pvp server are very very good at launch.  If not that, there will at least be a fvf server, but im pretty sure, there will be a full pvp server.  You ask  why Blizzard?  Their games are always polished and awesome, as this game looks like it is going ot be.

Very true in a way.  That was one of the many reasons I loved UO so much, the phat lewt.  Im hoping and beleive that WoW may havea  special rule set server that allows loot drops on players, and if they dont, well the love of full pvp will keep me happy .

Dude F$$% WoW, why mess around with all this bs when other games coming out have good pvp potential. This game is gonna be lame like EQII will be...in fact Im comparing the two.

Just because a game has good pvp potential doesn't mean the game will be golden.  Shadowbane was the best thing every pker wanted at Christmas before it came out.  When it came out, it alienated a host of those pvpers due to its loads and loads of bugs.  I'm saying WoW because Blizzard ALWAYS puts out great games that are virtually bugless.  I'm thinking that WoW will be the same.  They are certainly taking a LONG time with it, instead of just rushing the ship like a lot of other broken MMORPGs(that could have been sweet) at launch.

For starters lets hope a game comes out that compares to UO of 98' someday....Im begging for that. I dont disagree with you about Blizzard but take Dragon Empires for instance. Heres a game coming out that also has been pushed back a few times...I been reading up on this game since the site came out. Dragon Empires is gonna be all out pvp with a good game content and gameplay or atleast its what they are promising. What Im saying is....Why give WoW a chance when it appears they are not willing to have pvp at first or if ever when a game like DE is willing to take that step for open pvp and answer the prayers of guys like else who have been waiting so long

Many of the developers of WoW are hardcore pvpers and have said so.  The game will come with a full pvp server to cater to our kind.  Thus on the full pvp server, we will have the 1000+ quests and shit like that to do and be able to kill whenever and whereever you want.  I personally like the warcraft universe and I like the way Blizzard is handling the game.  Blizzard always release awesome games which uare usually bug free.  Dragon Empires may be good also, but I don't know what the company who produces the game's track record is for thier other games(unless this is thier first game ever to make), but I don't think it could release nearly as bug free as WoW as just about every other MMORPG released has been buggy.  I don't think thier content is anywhere near WoW either.  You never know though, it could be good.
