Hello,
I am about fed up with WoW, played it since release and it's a fucking great game, just going through the same instances, over and over and over, gets very boring. I've probably run through MC almost 45 times, and BWL half as much, and I'm ready for a change.
I took a great interest into everquest2. I never thought I would turn to this game, but it's actually starting to appeal to me, so I've decided to start playing! I'm installing as we speak and I could really use some help on the game ect...
In-game help that is, I don't really know how the game works, if it's more like ffxi where u have jobs ect... or more like WoW where you can create new characters, but if anyone wanted to start over or even help me out, just give me a message via aim or msn, or email..
thanks!

I could use any help I can get, I figure if I try and make friends from the beggining it'll be a lot more fun.

Tips you must know:
Character layout -- Character system is similar to Warcrap: you choose a race, a class, and an alignment (if your race can be good or evil, that is). When you want to tradeskill on the newb island, talk to the guy standing next to the tradeskill instance (the cellar doors near the tall tower).
Combat -- Combat is similar to WoW, except you're given "heroic opportunities" at level 7 (could be 5, though) which give you special abilities to better pummel your opponent. When you activate the heroic opportunities, use an ability which has an icon (on your toolbar) similar to any of the three symbols that pop up (green coin, hammer, lightning bolt). After you activate it, you'll have a limited time to punch in all the icons that appear in the disk (just use abilities with matching symbols, and there's usually only one unless you're in a group). You can also stealth in combat as a stealth character (found it helps when you stun someone and need to get a stealth-only attack out).
Tradeskilling -- It's useless, but if you want to play around with it, it's just a money-sink. Any harvested materials you find, either sell them on the broker (similar to AH) or make them into whatever you need, although you probably wont use anything you make.
Misc Things --
Mounts -- These are useable at any level, cost a lot of money (even with a high level guild, which reduces the prices of certain things from NPC vendors), and you can get one for free with a "magic carpet quest" at level 50... I think. Not sure about the level for the quest.
Scrying -- Around the commonlands and antonica, you'll find rainbow-light things shining on the ground. In order to activate them, you need to buy a scrying stone (they're rather expensive for new characters). The only vendor I found who sells them is at the docks in TS (Thundering Steppes, I didn't bother too much with vendors after level 30). Sometimes you get nothing, more scrying stones, or a special item (which is often potentially useless to your level / class).
Getting around -- It's a big world, almost too big, and it's really boring trying to find everything just by walking. Use a griffon (which are free) or a mount to cut down on the tedious trips... half the reason I quit, because even at high levels with a magic carpet, navigating the environment is boring beyond reason. You use Mariner's Bells to travel between different areas.
Levelling -- When you hit level 10-15, you need to head to the nearest 14-25 area. Good guys go to Thundering Steppes, and I have no idea where the evil guys go. As you level up, you'll have to find new places to grind and do quests, similar to WoW.
There you have it, EQ2 in all it's glory... which is a little past it's prime.
If you're sick of repetition in Warcrap, this game will not cure it, I can tell you that much.
You're full of it.
To the OP, I suggest you actually come to experience something for yourself. Plasuma just doesn't like the game and will do anything to trash it, even when he's wrong.
