LOL what if they send you to the moon ? Both have the same % of possibility.

I doubt they will re-instate the draft with a war this unpopular.  The reason being because sending unmotivated and undisciplined soldiers is like sending people just to die, it will be more of a hinderance in the battlefield then a benefit.  Like has been said they will only implement the draft if the war is huge or our own soil is being invaded.

How do you think the young men and women of this country will react if such a thing happens?

Outrage? Complacency? Rioting? Will people burn their draft cards like they did in Vietnam? Will people step up to the challenge and fulfill their patriotic duty?

It's really hard for me to make a guess given the fact that most people don't like the war, yet no one seems willing to do anything about it.  I guess in my own cynical way, I think that people will go along with it.  There might be some outcry but those people will be immediatly disregarded as "librhuls" or whatever terms people use to pigeonhole others.

    So what do you think??

I think ....it will never happen.

I'm not from the US but I will take the liberty to make this comment about your statement

patriotic duty is something you have not something your told I like anyone else in any country would go to war to defend my country from a real threat e.g. Hitler or an invading force but NEVER because of a leader that started a war in order to advance his own agenda and in that instance consider it to be my patriotic duty not to fight but rather remove that said leader.

We in the west sometimes forget what living in a democracy is all about its not about putting as tick in a box one every 4-5 years then voting in the locals every 2 years. It’s about civil disobedience to challenge our leaders it’s about keeping our freedom and balancing our laws it’s also about building and maintain our communities it about doing the right things for everyone rather than the few it’s about us the people being the power and not the police or the government

But the most importantly it’s about demanding our leaders never lie to us so we will follow then into a place we would not go otherwise

I live in the UK and things are pretty much that same here as in the USA Tony Blair lied to us like bush lied to you and it US that’s got to take back our governments and we must do it that way its always been done right letter go on marches spread the word the key thing being get involved

We have drafting here in denmark. Actually I just got my "application" where I have to state my health condition. Only way I'm not going to the army is if I draw "free number" or whatever it's called. But hey, it aint so bad. 4 months away from home. Get to try guns. Receive about 1500-2000 $ each month.

OH yeah, we can't be forced to go to Iraq. Only thing we can be forced to is to defend our homeland. Like anybody is going to attack Denmark anyway.
