Hi there,
i have recently got back into playing on the net alot and am lookin for a game to play but not sure what to play. I used to play alienaa (alien adoption agency). I had a quick run the game early but it didnt interest me at all.
My cousin keeps goin on about eve online, i have read the review on this site about it, but flying around in a ship doesnt quite tickle my fancy. I have also read about WoW and Anarchy online. Both games seem ok, ubt i see there is alot more out there and i just dont want to read all the reviews as i may be here to christmas doing that.
So what im after is what is a good game to play, i dont mind paying for the game or paying a monthly fee either. I would like a game wiv more than one race, but if there isnt im not to bothered. Also something which is going to give me an challange.
So if you could post you view on what game to play with a reason to why i should play it i would much be greatful,

If you want real fun then you should try GuildWars. Only once race but the game is really good.
also, don't follow the advice of the above poster (no offence)
Knight online is a free mmorpg, and its pure crap. it would only give you a bad view of MMO's.
guild Wars isn't an mmorpg at all.

WoW is about the most well-rounded MMOG experience you can have for the money today. It lacks depth after you've played for a period of time, but it's a superb starter MMOG.
Anarchy Online is the second-most complicated MMOG today (with EVE being the most), but it's a superb game with some really fun mechanics. I'm not sure if I'd recommend it to someone who hasn't had a run through a couple MMOGs, but I've resubbed to that game 4 times.
City of Heroes/Villains is also a really great game to introduce yourself to MMOGs. The gameplay is relatively simple and fun, though I found it to get extremely repetitive.
WoW. If you never played it before you will have a blast! That's all you need to know about it for now... Trust me. Enjoy.
I agree with Wow/eq2, they're basically the bread and butter of mmo's in todays world.
They both have their pro's/con's, despite what some haters or fan boys might say, give the free trial a try since its free.
I personally prefer WoW, but Turfbattles and Dofus are also good game. Turfbattles also has a large open world fighting is more of a Hack n Slash click mania, but its pretty fun^_^. Dofus is a Turnbased Rpg, with (10?) classes, and each class is a "race" Strategy plays a humungous role in this game, as moving 1 square to far can win or lose a battle. Try taking a look at each, and see how they go for you. Enjoy!^_^
If you want a game you can play having fun for a long time try EQ2. as you level up you will have more and more fun.
EQ2 > WoW.
Is this thread going to be another WoW vs EQ2? Sure seems it.
Anarchy Online is a great game...and huge!
AO has several classes that will give you the challenge you're looking for. The Meta-physicist, for example, has three pets to control -- A demon, a healer, and a mesmerizer -- and a very complex series of buffs and de-buffs to keep track of.
You can check it out for free...but it's definitely worth paying for!
