After Many months away, beta-testing various games and getting a few characters to 60 in WoW, I've finally made my way back to the place I feel most at home: Vana'Diel.
Even though I never got beyond rank 5 with my Galka Beastmaster, and haven't gotten beyond lvl 55 with him(can't even wear all my AF yet, /sigh), I still feel the time spent in FFXI was more fulfilling than that spent in most other MMOs(I did enjoy Galaxies in its earlier inception, prior to the dreaded NGE, back around when Space was added).
I'm currently torn between my desire to continue forth with my Galka, Lojack, or to level up my Hume, Velina(once a mule and Goldsmith, now a midteens, close to subjob questing MP-machine:). I'll probably shelve Lojack and only pull him out for some farming from time to time, because I've always been drawn to the Mage jobs, and my Hume seems to fit the bill more in that respect(plus she can craft out in the field, keeping that inventory in check until I get some Gobby Bags completed...lol).
If anyone on Unicorn sees Velina out killing worms around Gustaberg or {Konschtat Highlands}, please stop to say {Hello!}. Hope to see some old friends -- and new ones -- soon!
