As i said before, it's not the money that makes the difference, it's the play style, i think that says it all, u can't compare EQII or WoW to GW.
GW was so much more fun for me before i finished its PvE part, after that it turned completely boring (for ME that is), but i love this game, if u do a little calculation u'll find that if u bought EQII it will cost u 50$+90$ to play for 6 months, that's the same time as Guild Wars will have u buy another chapter, so the chapter u already bought should give u at least 6 months of play time, from my experience, EQII fills those 6 months with things to do, that's beside the fact that EQII gets even more exciting at end game (ask anyone, that's y people get bored with WoW's end game, SOME people, not our subject though), let's say after 6 months u'll complete EQII 100% and not want to play it anymore, BUT, GW's content doesn't even last for 3 weeks, that's in addition of making all the characters (4) and giving them everything they need to the max.
So, let's make a quick calculation (though i don't approve of this stupid method, but it's a way to compare still) ... 23$/month for EQII if u play it for 6 months (taking into account how much i paid for it initially), 66$/month to play GW, but for me, the month in GW is much more fun that EQII's month, BUT, GW doesn't have that much content to start with, so i have to play EQII till GW releases a new chapter, so in general, from the above calculation, an MMO is better than an IB RPG (Instance Based, my term), BUT, u can't calculate the play style and the fun, it's as if saying ... Doom 3 costs 50$ to play, i can finish it in 3 days (most do), so it costs 500$/month to play, so it sucks, hmmm, is that logic?
So u can NOT compare a different style of games together, u can compare EQII to WoW or Ryzom, and Doom 3 to Half-Life 2, and Guild Wars ... well, u can't compare it to anything yet really, that's y some buy it along with EQII or WoW, they're different styles of gaming.
Hehe, actually, i feel i pay more for Guild Wars than EQII, but still, i love that game, and as it's a different play style i can't actually compare it either money wise OR play style wise, and that's another reason y i don't buy any FPS games, cause i finish them in 2 or 3 days, which makes me feel i threw away 50$ for nothing, but that's just me, not everyone is the same.

Community is what makes a MMO different from Solo RPGs. If the community is garbage... or the game is buggy...
Theres Only One Reason More People Play WoW
It Was Made Before GW
GW Was Made In 2005
WoW was Made In 2004
I Just Discoverd That GW Gets Really Fun When You Do Missions With Real People
Its Boring When You Have Henchmen
GW is Free Cause The Makers Made It Free
So The Costumers Can Play The Game They All Ready Bought
WoW Pay For The Game And Month Fee Thats A Rip
Its Not Wroth Playin If You Have To Pay Every Month
WoW Is Fun But GW Is More Fun When You Get Further In The Game
congratulations?
