lol i'm just giving you a hard time.

Im assuming these guys are working together cause of the boston baseball thing. Salavatore is from boston, Schilling of course is their star pitcher. I think McFarlane's from boston too, but don't quote me on that. I know that he is a HUGE baseball fan. He's actually the owner of one of the largest collections of baseball memorablia in the world, including most of the home run balls hit by Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa in there 99 homerun race.

Fingers crossed for a mmo based on the Demon Wars novels. Or anything to distract me from how bad the red sox are sucking right now.

Well, when they do get this game in the early alpha/beta, and Drow ends up in the very beginning of the testing stages...I'm sure there will be a fit about it.

That's the good thing about most games, and the developers of those games.  They don't go around telling people what guild they're in, their char names, etc.  So, even if they did invite their guild, no one knows (usually even the guild).  He, on the other hand, has made it public.  I'll wait and see though, I'm sure that's a LONG way off.

Having Todd MacFarlane and RA Salvatore working on this MMO really means nothing.

Piers Anthony was working on an MMo and it got cancelled.

Joe Madureira was working on 2 MMOs and both got cancelled.

Heck, even in the MMO by Gary Gygax is gone.

    Why?

The people actually making the games sucked.

Most likely this Schilling, MacFarlane, Salvatore alliance will result in a project that stays in limbo for the next 5 years and never gets released.

What Schilling should have done is get a talented game company first and THEN bring in MacFarlane and Salvatore.

    Cmmon people , really

McFarlaine = Awsome graphics > Check
(criticise him as you wish, guy reinvented spiderman and was the first comic artist superstar ) >
                      Uncompromising quality > Check
(The guy quitted marvel because they were limiting his artistic vision , he formed his own toy company because he was unhappy with current market quality of toys.)

Salvatore = Awsome lore setting > Check
(No need to comment this , and for games check "Demon Stone" Salvatore written a story for that one)

Schiling = MMO addict super rich investor > Check
( We all know by now - MMOS need financing, and lot of it. But it is usualy done by rich guys in suits that dont know a first thing about games , or give a damn. They only want PROFIT. Schiling is FANATIC he is investing his money to do a thing he loves - MMOs. It does make a whole lot of diference)

I mean people - if this not sounds like start of a great MMO , i dont know what does

Well, since he's been in bed with a few of the EQ/EQ2 developers for awhile now, I wouldn't be suprised if some jumped ship to join him.
