CoH Trial

Hi,

I am a big superhero fan and wasn't aware of a game like this until....well....today. I was wondering if anyone here had a trial key they could give me. THANKS!!

Sorry, I don't have one I can give you at the moment, but this site:

    http://www.onlinecdkey.com

will get you one same-day for 99 cents. Just do a search for "Heroes".

In the meantime, go here for the updater and start installing the software if you haven't already. There's a lot of content so it can take a while, and you don't need an account to install so you might as well get that out of the way while not on trial time.

    Currently playing:
    DC Universe
    Planetside 2
    Magic Online
Simunomics, the Massive Multiplayer Economic Simulation Game. Play for free.

I downloaded the game, but onlinecdkeys won't let me choose a payment method so I can't buy it. Is there another way?

OK I don't believe this access is supposed to be available right now so don't talk about it in the official forums or in game. But ...

    City of Heroes trial

    City of Villains trial

I believe both will give you valid trial codes, as many as you need (possibly one per email address). However, I don't believe one trial can be "upgraded" with another trial. Normally if you bought both under one billing account you would have CoH and CoV on the same Game Account. So you log in with one name and see both sets of characters.

With the trial you can make seperate game accounts under one billing account, but can't combine them. So if you try the CoH trial, then the CoV trial will be completely separate, and if you later upgrade with the full game you'll only have access to one of those sets of characters. Does that make sense or have I made it too confusing? Simple answer is this: Pick whichever trial appeals to you more, then if you like it buy the Good & Evil edition which comes out in a week or so and includes both games plus bonuses.

What kind of limitations are on the trial accounts for CoH/CoV? Level caps, zones off limits etc?

Also, since I want to try something new (4 level 80's in AA, want to take a small break heh) what's the best class to just "nuke stuff" to hell, and would CoH or CoV be better for this? I guess I'm asking which game is better also, though from what I know of them, they are practically the same game obviously. Which is more fun I guess?

CoX places no limitations on their trials.   They're full versions.

Sweet, I guess I'll go through their sites and see which class I'll enjoy most. Since I like to solo, I figure a blaster would do.

Blasters have decent dmg output, but lower hit points.   If you want to play mostly solo, I'd recommend a Scrapper.

I'm currently playing a lvl35 Claws/Regeneration Scrapper, and I can solo +3 bosses with little problem.
