Economy

Hey horizon fans. I dont play horizons but might play it soon. But I'm wondering how do you make money and get items. Monster doesn't drop loots and their no merchents to sell to. So how you make money? Since no loot, merchants, and only way to make money buy crafting doesn't it cost money to craft and if you buy crafted items where you get cash to even buy one? Plz tell me I'm lost with this economy.

I want to cast magic missle.

I dont know where you read that there were no merchants but that is very wrong. there is a pawnbroker where you sell all your junk and a consigner where you put items up for sale where people buy them.  Crafting does not take money. When you join a craft school. you get a set of training tools and formulas.  you scribe the formulas then you can make the item that you scribed from the formula. Monsters do drop copper and junk to sell to the pawnbroker.  Thats where i started off. killing and selling. then i started to craft some items and just sell them at the pawnbroker.

Cool didn't know that. Last post I seen was no one to sell to, no monster drops, and can only buy from peeps which so far is correct.

    Bob,

How are you finding horizons??  I almost bought it the other day.  I am intrigued by the player generated economy and was wanting something to play while I wait for EQII or another MMORPG to come on line.  Please give me a brief summary of your thoughts on the game.

I'm currently playing it, and shall share a brief opinion.  The game has GREAT potential, but isn't at the level of greatness.  AE has done alot of talking, but hasn't ....err....well changed the game as much as they could have.  I still intend to play for atleast another two months because the sounds/music are enjoyable, the character system is unique, and the world I find fun and interesting.  The only negative feelings I have about the game are because so much more can be done with this title to make it one to remember.  I strongly recommend d-loading the 7-day trial and see if it is to your like'n.

I am loving it right now. I have a lvl 21 Knight of Creation that owns.  The crafting system is the best ive ever seen.  The only problem i see is that there are not many groups.  The only groups i get into are the guild groups.  But overall this is a great game!

Yeah I enjoy it, i play a lvl 19 mage, and i have lots of fun, i started with the 7 day trail, so i recommend that, within 4 days i found myself at best buy picking it up, i know you hear alot of bad stuff about this game, but do try it for yourself, with the 7 day free trail, you have nothing to lose

Well, I would love to but the 7 day trail apparently is for the US only.  That leaves those poor souls, including myself and others who live in Oz, wondering but never buying.  What is the point of having a free trial if you gotta live in the US to use it??
