    After seeing footage of the actual game(the real graphics and not those development system pics FunCom keeps releasing) and the actual combat my interest went from very high to almost zilch.

    Hopefully FunCom spends the extra time fixing it up so we don't have yet another high profile flop.

    I don't know if it's the immaturity of the kids that are going to be playing this game that will bother me or the fact that I'm starting to get old and they'll have faster reflexes.

    Played Wow, D and L, AOC, GW, Eve, Rift and many more insignificant games.

    I feel the same about playing a FPS.  And when they hear my voice and I'm absolutly owning them... it makes them sooo mad.  THey are like "WTF, you 50 years old?"

    While I'm running circles around then laughing while this 13 year old screams at me because he can't hit me... (UT2004 is what I'm talking about)

    I know nothing of this game but I read in this thread they are rendering boobies.

    I'm a 30 year old married man and i've been around long enough to tell you that they will sell a few copies on that fact alone.

    Heh, they've got enough tricks up their sleeve that the rendered tits are definately going to be a minor selling point, a factor certainly, but still a minor one.

    that play mmorpgs are immature, and that all of the immature people in
    mmorpgs are 10-13 years old. I used to stick to the same fact when i
    started playing mmorpgs, but then, when i started playing WoW, SWG, and

    system at school easily discourages people from using their computer to
    do anything apart from AIM.  Schoolalone stops kids from playing these
    games. Because of the popularity system that declares "If you play
    Online games then you can't get a girlfriend, and if you have glasses
    and pimples you won't get laid" etc. In school i've always never said
    anything about online games, except for in the slightest remarks. But
    what some people don't lose after they hit 20 is their immaturity, and
    a lot of the people that play MMORPGs are smart, and very immature, but
    the people that don't, are immature, and a large part of these people
    that don't play start to play when they see that it's fun and that the
    popularity thing stops right out of highschool. These people make up
    90% of the 'WoW Crowd" that you're talking about, because they haven't
    played for long enough to learn proper in-game manners, because they
    think that they are invulnerable behind their computer screen. Thus
    they annoy you, and then start to bitch when you kil them, previeosly
    unknowing of what consequenses their actions can cause them in games.

    Sorry about my raving, just trying to get an unpopular (but true!) point across.

    I'm 17, got laid (last summer actually image)  and I definitely want to play this game and I wear contacts so I cheated with the glasses thing.  Here's a tip: don't tell'em you play video games before you start dating then later when they find out it's just a minor flaw that she will probably get over.  If she doesn't then leave her anyway hopefully you at least got a feel of something. 

    and Yes it's true that young kids can get annoying but give some of us credit, I mean the younger ones who do get the game who can't legally play.  I doubt any 10-13 yr old will be playing.  15-17 is the young group I think you'll see most of.  I'm sure most of you are in guilds and have the one young'n who is pretty cool and tolerable.  Not sure of the point I'm making so to sum it up:  AoC looks really cool and innovation in MMOs or games in general will pave the way to the future of games.  (Does holodeck/suite ring a bell?)

    I've been on the AoC forums and i don't think the younger group is going to be that much of a problem in this game. Yeah once in a while you get one of those AoC vs. *** questions. but for the most part the community is very helpful and friendly not like other game forums.image

    As for that whole "kids in the game," i think that decapitation will be a little bump in the rode for kids trying to convince their parents to buy it for em.

    How many of those parents care enough to bother looking at the game themselves? It seems unlikely that it will significantly reduce the numbers, and is more likely to take out the ones who will actually compose themselves. (I.E. the ones that actually have responsible parents that taught them how to behave)

    Right, we can only hope it will be a slight reduction, but some is better than none!
