Archlord beta, were can I download the client?

    Wrong, there is. The hell with fileplanet, it needs to be treated like starforce.

    Yes, via torrent or eDonkey but thats both slower then FP is. ::::05::

    Because I was hoping to get a link to a place were I could find a faster download. Torrent is just too slow.

    Fileplanet  goes 1mb/sec

    Torrents  ... usually go 130kb/sec

    uhhh..just asking..whats wrong with fileplanet? the only annoying thing is that you have to wait in line which only takes like 10 minutes. The speeds are pretty fast imo.

    Archlord will be pay2play plus it will have an item shop :)

    It is currently in beta

    I tried playing it, downlaoded just fine off fileplanet at 170kb/s , thats not the problem.

    Patch server runs on 56k modems, its gonna take me hours before this 100 meg patch gets dloaded.

    For people who have not played ArchLord beta I got some news.  Honestly I played Archlord and I expected it to be way kickass.  Will I was wrong!  That game was not good at all.  The fighting wasn't that great, graphics were ok, but the quests It took me awheil to find out where to go.  I pray to god that LOTRO is way better then archlord.  Archlord is not that fun you dont' believe me download it and play it yourself.

    well, i downloaded from fileplanet, something around 300kb/s

    BUT the Patch Client its actually takin ages to update..

    i started yesterday at 23 PM and left downloading up to 7 AM (and its not done patching yet)

    dont know if the game is good or if its not but this "patch download" is screwd

    No, it was lifted a few weeks ago.  I beta tested it a while ago and, to be honest, I didn't much like it.   So far, at least where MMOs are concerned, Codemasters' has batted 0 with me.  I have to wonder if they're trying to snarf up Asian MMOs, en masse, and offering them up as a quantity before quality thiing.  Maybe they'll collect enough of them to do a group access thingy, ala SOE.  If so, it'll be interesting to see how it works out for them.  I have a feeling they're not anywhere near finished publishing Asian MMOs.

      Ok Go on Archlord forums, players have mirrors to download the 170MB worth of patches from.

      I finally played. 

     Quests, you had problems with quests ? LOL They tell you where to go plus the locations of items are marked on the map, and the mobs are easy to find because they tell you the area, and theres only a few types of mobs in each. Geez of all the things possible. 

     I had to turn graphics all the way down to play on my laptop, so I cant comment on gfx.

     There's roving PKs since majority of the gamearea is opn PvP. You dont lose exp in PvP death so basically it just means you have to run back from town.  There's a rouge points system for PKing.  If someone is a PK you can celarly see it by a skull by that persons name.

      Char models arent bad looking, I like the orcs look very much like woW orcs to me.

      At level 7 , thats me, all my quests revolve around killing gnoll soliders (elemental monsters) basically 5x the hp and 2x damage of any same level mob.  Clearly I cant solo these goons. There's also elemental monsters, wchi at only level 9 can 1 hit kill me.  This makes it annoying since they are sometimes on the only path to a leveling spot and no way to get around them...........fun times considering theres exp loss. Not too bad at lvl 7 but its another pain in the ass for me.

      Personally there is no way I would pay2p this game.

    If you are subscribed to FP, it goes alot faster. I just downloaded a 465.3MB patch for WoW in 15 mins. If that isnt fast, then you need a T3 line and download it from some third party site, which also uses a T 3 line. You might get it in 3-5 mins.

      The big problem is the patching of the game actually not the game client. You literally dloaded patches at 56k speeds from the auto patcher.

     Reminding people to use mirrors posted on the archlord forums or you'll literally be patching for a day.

     The game seems to have some bug issues, no idea how they plan to release in a month but its never stopped anyone before :)

    Took about 15 minutes to patch from auto-patcher on dsl, so not too bad.

    Yah seems they fixed the autopatching problem by doubling the bandwith.
