Dunno if its fair to count myself since i left as the first jedis popped in the game and have made a few short term returns.
But i found after SWG the 2 games to hold me the longest was EQ2 and WoW .Currently EQ2 is still on my active sub.I am back in planetside but i always pop in and out every few months.
I think only 6 games held me for over 6 months .SWG,EQ2,WoW,EQ1,DAoC and planetside.
Still playing SWG, now and then of course. Then HL2 Map Editing,
WoW was boring, CoH boring, AO boring, GW boring after a time..
The game that has held me up was SWG, but I get sad seeing so many empty cities, SO I WONDER IF SOE CAN DELETE THE UNUSED CITIES / BUILDINGS. So it will get more space around and my guild can grow larger.

EQ2, SWG, and Battlefront 2.
Went ahead and got the Station Access for the EQ2 bonuses, and decided to check SWG, nothing to loose.
Population dosent seem as bad as these people claim. Last night at 7PM EST the cantina in Eisley was packed, lots of dueling infront of the starport, /who pulled up 32 and truncuated. And this is on Shadowfire. Give me a few to upload the screenshot to photobucket, and ill edit my post.
I thought that at first, too. But, go any other city in the game, and chances are you won't see a soul.
At the moment, I'm playing EVE. Don't really like the game, but I won one of those 60 day cards off of this site.
I dont know man, im starting to think otherwise. Last night there were about 5 people dueling at the starport outside Nyms, lots of people in Eisley of course, /who showed 17 people in Theed, found some stragalers in AH and Bestine, and a shitload of people on Rori. Only places ive been so far, mostly just seeing if old stuff from back when I played in pre-cu is still around, and listening to ambient noises such as torches, I missed that stuff.

With some of the recent changes, SWG is actually pretty fun again. After a year break from it to play WoW until I was bored out of my mind, I went back and tried SWG again and I'm finding a lot of fun things to do again. Some of the recent changes SOE has made to the game have actually brought it back into a decent game again (a lot more limited in professions but pvp is pretty fun now).
I really like the new feature where anyone can put out a bounty for anyone in the game and a BH can pick it up and go kill that person to collect the bounty. Much better than just limiting them to killing jedi only.
It's definitely worth another try if you haven't yet and are bored with WoW.
When not on black and white 1 i still enjoy swg not as much as i did pre cu but i now go fishing allot on dantoine then i make aquariums decorate my houses and go on mad looting fits at corelia hunting the Nyax for 4 modd gear and sometimes like to wind up noobs with my tusken role player lol orrrc awk arc
I unsubbed from DAoC again and I think I'm done with MMORPGs outright. I can't seem to get motivated to play one anymore -- they appeal to a much more hardcore audience than I think I am anymore. SWG was about the least hardcore MMO out there and with everything that's happened it's such a different game. Even going back to classic I don't think it will be the same.
Furthermore, I think that MMORPGs have hit their peak potential a la FPSing at the time of Quake 3 / Unreal Tournament. To me it seems all of the MMORPG gameplay is mere rehash. It occurs to me that all of the excitement I've ever had playing these games came from communities, many of which I've outlasted. I liken it to watching the rise and fall of virtual empires.
Unless something *truly amazing* comes about -- really wishful thinking -- I'm going back to the land of multiplayer FPS and single/multipayer RPG. But at least I go without regrets.

[MMOz] AC1/2, AO, DAoC, EQ1/2, SoR, SWG, UO, WAR, WoW
most of my guild in Ahazi landed on moonrunner in WOW. okay game, way too focused on loot for my taste. My community is there so i am too. My other game is still AO, was really happy to see that all my toons were intact when i left AO for SWG. no regrinding, thank the gods!
Regarding MMOs, I beta test for about 6 hours a week (the only times I can log in off my work hours). I recently burned a gamecard (bought in 2005) for SWG just so that I can get banned when the 6 month anniversary of Smed's 3/24/06 post comes out.
I still have 2 gamecards left to burn (bought them for my two other accounts), as SOE has already been paid for them.
Most of the time, though, I have been playing console games. I've really become disappointed with computer gaming, as I think that the developers aren't even trying to release games that are complete anymore.
None right now as far as MMOs go. It's a dark, dark time for MMOs. Archlord? Please, I'd rather stab my foot with a screwdriver. I was looking forward to Vanguard, but it is starting to sound like a raiding "end game". So now I have little to no hope for Vanguard, which leaves nothing as far as MMOs for the rest of the year.
All the fantasy MMOs coming up are just meh to me. One small thing that is dragging them down are terrible engines. I can't wait for some to come out with the Unreal3 engine. I don't care what I need to run it, I care that it is a step forward...which is more than I've seen from almost anybody in at least two years.
Mostly to pass the time these days I play 101 demos/betas and the ever more broken BF2.
When UT2K7 comes out I'll probably join ladders and forget about MMOs...until somebody finally releases something worth playing. I know people are looking forward to various games and that's cool. I guess I've just played too much to be interested in WAR, Conan, Vanguard, etc.
Back to AO for me. It is free and still very deep. Still gets my old nostalgia juices flowing as well. Hard getting my heart into anything now though. Holding out for G&H, STO and MAYBE Vanguard.
Good Sfi-Fi game and the 100% open skill based character development system makes even Pre-Cu SWG seem pretty restrictive, I love it!
After leaving SWG for good I hopped around to nearly a dozen different games, EVE is the only one I'm willing to pay for, for now, and likely will be until a better game comes out
Right now, I'm playing this game where I hang a loogie out of my mouth and see how close I can get it to the floor and still suck it back into my mouth...
I don't play anything right now. I haven't in over a year. I'm thinking of getting back into WoW when BC is released. I'll definitely be involved as early as possible in WAR. Our entire crew is watching that. As for SWG I guess following these boards is morbid curiosity for me. Without my guildmates it just wouldn't be the same. As they say, "you can never go home". Now, if the crew were to come back..........
