You'll note he didn't say it was the biggest. Nor did he say all year long. Late winter through early spring... So a couple of months around Christmas. With SWG being SOE's second or third biggest title. I guess that statement could be absolutely true.
I personally d-loaded the trial 3 times. There's your gains right there. MANY ex-players did the trial, and they counted every one as a "new player".

They've already shot it down, in the report they dont announce how many players they lost. Used to have big 3 to 4 guild battles in towns and across planets. Funny how they point out "positive feedback from the forums..." seeing as how SOE are the masters of the squash, perma-ban, lock, delete, move ANY negative critique.
That's like doing a taste test between two soda's, and throwing away all selections of the other brand, then declaring yours the winner
But who are we to judge, after all SWG has gotten so popular after the NGE-fix up patchy thingys that there's heavy server lag from all the peeps playing. SOE has re-pluged in the server population counters, and are bragging, posting subscriber numbers. 3rd party sites are full of praise on how great the game is, heck it's even rated #1 here on MMORG's polls. There's no EMU in development as were all so happy with the original. There are no sites of SWG refugee's like imperialcrackdown.com. None of the other MMO's have SWG refugee, or SWG comming here threads.... the list goes on, but you get the point.
SWTOR. Face it, in the Scooby Doo Mystery Solving Van of coolness, this game is Velma. In this current MMO climate it has about as much chance for survival as a group of inquisitive teenagers in a 1980s slasher flick. -Tardcore May, 2011
