Well i have not played this game yet hehe. But from the videos i have seen on youtube, the combat system looks like a copy of a free korean mmorpg. The rest of the game looks good, but I don't know if i can stand crappy pvm. After i play the beta i will update this post.

doubt it I will most likely be in the open beta when the nda is over. If a 15 day suspension will help fellow gamers out im willing to bite the bullet.

Let me spell it out. These crybaby fanbois whine and cry anytime their whole life (Vanguard will be their ENTIRE life) gets a valid critism leveled against this crappy game. It will have a piss poor player base, and Brad is desperately doing everything he can to get any kind of base to even think about this crappy game. He is lying to the casuals that they will have any fun, and not just be the butt of jokes by the raiders. He is lying to group players that grouping will be more then treadmill leveling to....raiding or see "casual" for what you game experience will be. Just include a valid complaint against SOE and you will get "they won't have anything involved game wise". WELL LET ME REPEAT:

Brad sold out his players once, he isn't getting a second chance. He made a game that was raider only, no second chances. He should have fixed his first game, not sold out.
Remember if you play WoW, or you are a non-hardcore player, the Vanguard players have stated "we don't want you". Take the hint and avoid this turd.

I have to agree I have read about it and am pretty excited. And those videos on Youtube aren't that bad first of all and 2nd of all aren't the only ones out there have a look around and research for yourself it's the only way to form you OWN informed opinoin.

My issue with the combat is its not different from games like FFXI. IVe seen all i need in order to say that.
Thats my major problem, there are other issues but as a gamer who has full motor skills (WHICH IS REALLY RARE ON THIS AND OTHER MMO FORUMS IT WOULD SEEM.) I dont want to play a game that a cripple would excel at...

LOL me? a ring leader? hahaha that is quite funny. i spend like 80% of my time here as apposed to the OVF, why? because i like to hear objective opinions and different point of views, i also like alot of different games not just vanguard.
the problem isn't what he says its how he says it, i cant stand him because of his generalizations and insults he posts every time.
i know i have explained this to you before, if someone cant have a civilized discussion without stereotyping people or insulting them then i don't want any part of it, but i will call you out on it.
if you disagree with my point of view that is fine, but when people come here and post ridiculous stuff full of insults and generalizations for no other reason other than to draw attention to themselves then yeah, i have a problem with that.
there is a forum for that type of stuff, its called fohguild.org...if i wanted to get into huge name calling wars i would go there.
i was being honest in my reply to his post, again its not what he said its how he says it. and he has made it quite apparent that he is mad because his eq warrior wasn't the way he felt it should have been.

may i ask what mmorpg's have you played and thought had a good combat system? personally i would love a in depth mmog with great twitch combat but i have not yet seen it.
the game that got me hooked to mmorpg's was eq1 and yeah....i did not play it for over 3 years because it had good combat system that is for sure.
i loved it because of the rpg aspect and the community, it was the first online game to remind me on my pnp D&D days, it felt like D&D put into a online world simulation at the time and i loved it.
thats why the combat isn't as big of a factor for me in vanguard, but i do understand if people like you don't like it. i will say i am alot more worried about vanguards animations than the combat it self...the creature animations i have seen don't look much different than some of the old eq1 animations, that needs to change IMHO.
Have you seen the videos released by the devs? The combat is boring it’s a copy of most free Korean mmorpg's. If they are trying to release a next gen game they should improve the combat system. All im saying is this game seems like it is using the old click wait for mob to die and grind some more system. If they don’t add more excitement into the combat system this game will flop like d & l..
Animations hasent been really completed yet though, What I've heard is that combat will be like eq2?

For me MMORPG are about comunity, content and immersion, then if the combat is amazing that would be a plus.
Also I would invite people who is complaining about Vanguard combat system to make a list of the games where combat is amazing.
The only game who might have an innovative combat system is God & Heroes from the videos I ve seen, but i will have to play beta to verify it.

yeah you may not like the combat system but if its not a fast twitch system its not going to make the game flop, everyone has a good idea what the combat is going to be like and yet people are still interested in the game.
also using your logic every single mmorpg to date should have flopped like dark and light, all I'm saying is you might want to actually think before you type.
