Aussie/Kiwi Order Guild 'Mongbat'

AvernoAverno Member Posts: 27
Established: 4th of August, 2006

Faction: Order (Empire, Dwarfs and High Elves)

Membership: Primarily Australian, Kiwi and American Members

Server Type: Normal/RvR (Non-RP)

We have been around for a fair few months now, following the progress of the game, planning how we want to grow the guild and so on.

Due in no small part to our professional MMO gaming attitude, we have seen our membership numbers rise quite quickly of late. But we still have a few places within our ranks for fellow Australians and New Zealanders to join.

So if you come from either of these locations and would be interested in joining a group of Order fans from your own timezone then I would highly recommend you at least pay us a visit at our website to see what we have to offer.

All u guys have to be nuts to start creating Guilds, when you even don't know how this game will look like. W8 at least for beta.

That's where research comes into play, along with faith in Mythic to make another great game. Plus I'd much rather be in a good guild with an established community on launch day rather than wandering around for days trying to meet people and figure out what I want to do about a guild. There are a lot of people out there creating guilds just because it's something to do and a lot of these I don't see lasting til launch given their lack of activity and officer involvement on their sites. But there are also those of us who have the community involvement and the patience to wait out the year. We'll be fine.

I would prefer, to start playing new game in solo. Find out everything about game, gather expierience. Then meet some friends in mean time and start guild with them :) But thats of cource my oppinion. Nice web-site by the way :) If i will start playing this game and i think i will (despite that pvp movie was awfull which i saw), we'll meet lol :)))

Yeah I suppose it's just a matter of preference. I always hate the guild search process, but I can see where you're coming from. Anyway, thanks for the good word. See you in-game.image

Yup, definitely different for different people. I enjoy playing with people I know, and a good way to get to know em is to be a part of the guild.

Honestly, I prefer the early guild forming, that way we all get to know eachother before the game distracts us.

Look forward to seeing you all in-game. image

At the moment, Mongbat is generally looking to even out the population balance between its Oceanic membership and its members from other parts of the world. Therefore our current focus is acquiring membership from Australia, New Zealand and associated areas. If you fit this criteria, are looking for a guild, and wish to fight for the side of Order, feel free to check out our guild page and get to know us on our forums. Thanks for your interest.

I haven't given this thread any attention for a while, so I figured it was time it was bumped.

Mongbat seems like a great bunch so far from my perspective. Definately a fun group to chill with and to get to know.

Just a quick update. As of April '07, open recruitment is closed for North America. We are currently looking for a few more Oceanian players to balance our ranks. Cheers!

Just to clear up any confusion anyone may have on the subject-

Players from Aus/NZ/Eastern Asia are sill actively being recruited, and North American players though we aren't searching for more currently- are welcome to pay us a visit and poke around as well as join our forums.   Who knows- the officers might end up liking you and picking you up anyway.

As of June 11th, 2007 we are opening our doors again for recruits from North America as our membership has now balanced out.

This really is a cool website. Love the look and feel of it.

As far as the guild goes, it's cool that you're gathering people the old-fashioned way, instead of just recruiting anyone and everyone to form a zerg. It says a lot that your members quickly compliment you on your "community". Sounds like fun!

It's also nice to see a serious Order guild. There are so few of them, it seems. Will be nice to see you guys on the battlefield. Dirt naps are fun (but only in moderation).

This guild knows their stuff and have been around the scene for quite some time.  Take a look at their site and consider them.

Couple of things that have happened for us lately:

    1. We were accepted into the first round of guild beta (12 beta passes + 5 members already in beta)

    2. We are starting a drive to find more Aussie and New Zealanders to join the guild

Currently the guild is 44 members strong with 7 NZ'ers and 11 Aussies (41%). We are very eager to drive this number higher and add more Aussies/Kiwis to the guild so everyone from both of these locations will have someone to play with during their 'main gaming time'. If you are unguilded and want to play with people from Aus/NZ then please come and check us out

Hiya people. I'm an Aussie that knows nothing about warhammer to be honest, yet I'm looking at giving this a go.

Been trying to play catchup and see what I can learn about the game. I just hope that me email is fixed soon and will join your forum and read all your info.

For starters, the Empire Witchhunter looks like a good starting place.
