But a good farewell post, not unsimilar to many cogent summarizations that departing vets have tossed at the SWG forum on their way out. None of them made the slightest impression, as the execs at SOE/LA drank their own Kool-Aid long ago.
wow, absolutely fucking outstanding post man. One of the guys that posted said he was a "lurker" and I'm one as well i guess lol. I don't post very often but I check in to the forums almost every day and rarely ever see such a well thought out post that touches on everything we all loved about Pre-cu and SWG back in the day. I've sent every dev on the team a smartass PM telling them about the problem (8 pages of people agree that every part of their game is broken) and said I wanted to give them a heads up. Then I sent e-mails to a few other people.
Still no response. Not even a "shut the hell up, kid".

I finally got a response. The message was something along the lines of, "I appreciate your concern, but I'm on the events team. If you have a question about an event, feel free to ask."

SW:G is pretty much just the poster boy for how to utterly screw up an MMO. Seriously the people from SOE and Lucas Arts behind this should be walking around with T-Shirts saying "I had a part in the NGE". You can only spin taking a game that needed to be fixed revamping it twice and ending up with half the people playing it so far. (if they even have that many ppl)

Exellent post. That is a great summery of all that has gone wrong with swg. I love how you didnt forget the crafters and entertainers in that rant. I totally agree with your passion on those subjects. You sound pissed off in that rant... just like the rest of us... as well we should be. They took a great game and crapped on it.

Excellent. I did like the rebuttal by the guy who didn't want to interact with other players. I have to wonder how many other NGE supporters are Helios' sockpuppets on the official forums too.
