I was thinking about it today what questions I would like answered maybe before the game came out, just things I think will be interesting to see them do. So here is my question to the Devs (if they happen to read this)

How will the ransacking of captials go? Will it just be kill the shop keepers and take things? Will we be able to damage building or burn them down? Can we actully cripple the other side by doing some things? (ie. Killing leaders, destroying weapon shops, stealing from the bank if there is one) and also, will the defenders be allowed to make a stand and try to defend there home or will all the defenders be kicked out wile the winners do the looting?

I also wondered, what questions does anyone else have? Anyone else have burning questions they would like answered or wish they knew how it was be done in the game? So feel free to post your questions and any speculation you have as to other questions people have answered.

I've heard something about kidnapping the king which gives you some advantages, like a buff or something. But because it such a long time til the release there isn't much info. I guess you'll be able to kill most NPCs/shopkeepers etc., but I don't think it'll be possiblle to burn down houses and stuff like that. Maybe you can like do some painting on the walls and smash the windows or something.

We'll just have to wait for more information..

Well, i can confirm that you can beat up enemy leaders (NPC), put them in chains and bring them back to your city, they works like DAoC relics, basically giving a race-wide (or faction-wide?) bonus like 5% more damage or the like.

As for the killing, you will be probably able to kill all npcs and pcs in the area of the capital open to the massacre and surely defenderes can come in and try to kick you out anytime they want, the capital is NOT instanced.

There will be a "safe" area that is not reachable by the invaders where basic supplies and long range travel will be located, so the defenders have a place where to be in the capital even when under siege.

About destroying buildings and the like, that has notoriously be pretty hard to do in MMorpgs without using instances. But who knows.

In this interview here he actually mentions that you can burn down the buildings.. I don't know if he means it literal. Could be, could not..
