Since LoudAntSoftware seems to think they've proven themselves and are being reinstated here, I'd like to know if this is true:
Coming back?. (See last post of thread.)
From what I have seen, they have proven nothing as far as: 1.) whether there are actually professional devs making this game and not a bunch of inexperienced college kids and 2.) that the original devs of Mourning are NOT involved in any way (including "advisory" positions). If they are being allowed back, then can you please explain what they have done to show they are different from Mourning and deserve to be here? I'm sure alot of people here would like to be informed before they just appear back on the game lists.
I would also suggest that you make an official "We're Angry at Thrones of Chaos" thread for their forum space,'cause they are going to need one

Hello Zorvan,
Yes, I believe we will be re-listing this game. Note that Mourning was not de-listed because it was ran by inexperience college kids (this is not a requirement at our site for a listing). If an 8 year old makes a playable 3D MMORPG we will list it here at MMORPG.com. LoudAnt does not have to prove to us their age or any other private information for a listing - that is discriminatory.
Our Editor Dana had a phone conference (I missed it) with LoudAnt and when it was over he informed me that they met our demands and we would be re-listing the game after the AGC show. Dana is now on another unplanned trip to Korea so this will likely be delayed another week or so.
It is my understanding that we will re-list the game simutaneously with an interview where we asked them the burning questions.
If there is enough "angry" posts for any game it will warrant a "we hate <insert game dev here>" thread...but we would never make one in advance as that is not really fair...

thanks for the heads up, Admin. I'll be looking forward to the interview, as will others I'm sure. In fairness, I know your hands are tied as far as discriminating against any game. It's just that this particular game has alot of us worried about a repeat episode of past activities attributed to the game, if not in fact its "new" developers. Only time will tell, I guess In any case, thanks again for responding so quickly
Edit: the reason I questioned their credentials was because when I asked LoudAnt if he could verify that his developer crew had experience, he would not respond directly to give any background on them, only saying that he had given you guys the information about their experience. he also stated that his "proof" that the original devs were not involved was a list of devs he sent you guys, to which I politely (honest) explained to him that a written list is hardly "proof" of anything since a list can be altered or items omitted. At which point he left.
I don't expect you to reply or verify this, as I know you have to stay as impartial as possible. I just wanted you to see where I'm coming from
I would say give them time. I would like to see what happens during thier beta tests. They said when it gets to a playable state they will be doing monthly beta tests.
I think that if they can pull off a good game, then damn they must be good to make something out of that crap feast mourning.
If its a completely different crew, I don't see why everyone shouldn't give it a fair look. From what I understand all Loudant did was aquire the game from the last bunch of knotheads. Good for them, I wish I had the opportunity to make a game. If you had the opportunity to to take the game and make it how you wanted, don't tell me you wouldn't.
If MMORPG.com is willing to give them the OK thats good enough for me, they are the ones that took a stand against Mourning in the first place.
One more reason I'm not buying into them until I see something concrete. The main thing I'm watching for is how they promise they will not take pre-orders or any other money from customers until the game is ready. Mourning devs said the same thing in the beginning and then all of a sudden "We know we said we wouldn't do this, but....."
Well, just don't expect any positive posts in there for a while.
