I had dozens of characters.. I rarely stuck with a character longer than a few weeks.
My longest running characters were Saltee Pe'ete on Bria (musician/entertainer/ID) and Ah'ar Inastawa on Tarquinas (started as an entertainer ala Saltee but decided to make her a PvP template because it really made me laugh to watch all these guys that were constantly hitting on me because I was playing a female toon cry after I kicked their asses in PvP). I used to make a new character any time I had an idea for a new role playing concept I wanted to try. I made everything from gay rodian bounty hunters to homophobic xenophobic imperial humans.
I'd routinely make new characters on servers I didn't normally play just to go to the PvP hotspots as a brand new character and get in the way. Nothing funnier to me than running out in my newb gear with little or no skills and fire away at the serious PvPers.
Most of my characters fell into one of two categories...
Fake female flirty entertainers - Made millions with them all that I used to start my new male hybrid characters.
Male hybrid characters - I liked making them a mixture of combat and entertainer mainly although I did have a few crafter/entertainers and scout/combat.
If I had to pick just one character that was me while I played though... Saltee on Bria

(Just after pub 10, didn't get it done before) I was a jedi you never saw until the CU. I cancelled for about 5 months after CU went live, and came back about a month and a half before NGE. I hit the cancel button on that account for the last time on 11/16/05. I started shortly after Tempest opened in August '03.
It's really been bugging me lately about SWG being killed. For the last year before CU I played as much as I could, but I was very busy so that wasn't much. Now, I have more free time but there's nothing to play. If there were classic servers now, I'd be thrilled.

Hobbies: Hunting Jedi, hiking on Naboo (mainly around Moenia), and killing those old bats (night sister elders) on Dathomir for swag.
One of my best days in SWG was when I finally finished MBH. I dropped the profession a few times, primarily after perma-death was removed, to explore other combat templates. Besides MBH, TKM / M Swordsman was my favorite template; although it didn't feel very 'Star Warsy'.

My first Elite prof. was BH. When you had to master Marksmen and scout. I got this idea from a holo the devs gave us for Christmas. 3 holo's later, I had mastered Entertainer, Pikeman and barely done anything with BE which was my last holo and then would go silent. At the time I did not wish to go BE. I eventually had Master BE, Swords, Artisan, Doc, CM. Shortly after my good friend Tark, the old webmaster of swg.warcry decided that he did not like the way the dev team was taking the game and left. He gave me tarkbecca which was nothing. I took him down several profs including BE and ended up with Chef/Tailor. When I unlocked I got Quayla and took her BE/CH. Another good friend left and went to WOW when it came out and gave me Randro which I took Swords/Doc. As friends left I could not bear to watch the characters of my friends fall by the wayside.
I play WOW no only because I do not have SWG. I have gone back a couple times, but it just is not the same. Some one said it best on the Bria forums. "Bria, the girlfriend that you know you should leave but just can't". Well SWG is along those lines. It is like that ex girlfriend that no matter how much we cared for each other, when I go back it is just is not the same. Then there was Bria. I miss the community that is missing from other communities. Bria>then anything else. Isk, Soda, Jegu /wave3
