Then i basically know some of her mates who loves consoles, the other one is hooked to nintendo wii, while the other on xbox 360.
Girls have all the rights in the world to play games. =/ Although men and women do think differently maybe thats why not much gets easily attracted to gaming i guess.

Back in my EQ days i used to regularly play with some truly talented female gamers, in fact the best Cleric and Enchanter i knew in-game were RL female players. (hello Momsies and Felyna, wherever you are now *sniff*). Female gamers, in my experience, are also more skilled in RPing and 'immersing' themselves in the game.
Whenever i got bored in EQ, i would mess around with a low-level bard and one afternoon still sticks in my mind. Grouped up in WC with a couple of female players, a druid and a warrior, and they were role playing to the limit. It would start raining, and both would instantly run under a tree yelling "my hair!!", and would refuse to come out and continue grouping until it stopped. We aslo had to take small breaks to repair nail damage.
Some players may find this sort of thing 'stupid', but it amused the hell out of me and i kept those two on my friends list till I quit
MMORPG's badly need players like these, they are too few and far between in todays 'gimme now', power level to cap in a week, whats RP? gaming climate.

Well this account orginal started with my sis (we were trying to get into COH beta I believe) I just kinda jacked it from her since then :P
I must say though that I USED to have a problem playing with girls (my sis included). And I did feel kinda wierd when she or another one would WTF PWN me in a game lol. But thats the past and I was a fool back then.
I still have nightmares though of playing Age of Empire and my sister destroying me and my brother with her 20 million Elephant army
The way I feel now though the more playing games the better.. That will just up my chances of finding one that actually likes playing games like I do some times, instead of always wanting to go shop or to the club all day everyday.

I work for a company that employs a ton(2000+) employees and I know a lot of girls/women that play mmo's. more specifically a lot play WoW, Guildwars and even SWG. My girlfriend and I play Guildwars and WoW all the time together in a guild that has many players of the opposite sex.
My sister and ex perfer playing Male avatars and sometimes female. The usual precentage of girls playing mmorpg's (a safe guess) around 40%. Most females like looking at male alts.

Depends on the environment. If its really immature/frat house, I keep a low profile. If its a group of mature, respectful human beings, I don't feel the need to hide.

Then there's the idot segment in the gaming industry that of course want to do nothing more then over sexualize female gamers... which COMPLETELY blows my mind. All it does is keep males thinking about us in one and only one way and alienates the hell out of future females gamers. So see, there's no big thing about it, it's just a natural progression.
