MMORPG Addiction study

i am conducting a study into the effects of mmorpg's and the addictivity of these games.

i am looking for volunteers to fill out two questionnaires in an attempt to find out what factors lead to mmorpg addiction.

anyone who would like to take part in the questionnaires, can you please give me a note of your name and you email address. i will be very happy if you can help me out here.

you can email me at Belial_lives@hotmail.com and make the subject heading MMORPG Addiction so i can filter out all the rubbish.

if you have any comments on mmorpg addiction there are all welcome and will be included in my project.

Old news, bud. MMORPGs are addicting because people think they owe something to their time spent to the character therefore they must keep playing....[?] rofl I read that article a year ago.

I disagree. I had played runescape for a year and when i got my new computer (i could then buy better games) i dropped it right away.

yea, i cant say ive ever really had a hardcore addiction to an mmorpg. than again ive managed to stay away from everquest for all these years. the closest i got was sims online. that leads me to think that the secret to mmorpg addiction is the socializing of it all. pvp, trading, crafting for friends, guilds, groups, its all about socializing.

not too badly, i only play for like 2 months at a time, then i stop for 2 months, and then come back for 2 months, etc. its a pattern, not an addiction ::::35::
